Bolton injured? Can't see why he'd be left out otherwise

PS: Any top 14 experts want to comment on how strong a Racing team that is?

Mentioned on the42 article that Bolton has a strain, quad I think it was. He cannot get a run of inury free games at all, shame he is missing again but hopefully it isnt serious.

Didn't think racing were going to go full noise.....I was wrong. That's a very very strong team. Outside of Fickou and maybe Diajimani that looks as strong as they can go.

Huge effort required by Connacht tomorrow evening!!

I personally think Ioane should have started with JJ on the bench. The basis for this is that if the game is tight towards the end you have your best penalty taker on the field

Racing have serious bulk & power. Josh Tuisova is a Fijian wrecking ball, Bundee is going to have his hands full. Junior Kpoku at 7 is Englands next Itoje, 19 years old 6’8 120kg to mention a couple.

Connacht are 7 point favourites with the bookies.

Didn't expect that I thought it would be 50/50.

Not sure if that makes me feel better or more worried about tomorrow

I had to check that we were favourites with the bookies.......that is absolutely baffling to me. They must know something the rest of us don't.

Racing are well down the table in the Top 14 but their form has actually picked up lately. Think they've won 4 of their last 5.

The bookies have Bordeaux 12 point favourites....

Id be shocked if Munster got a clipping by that much...

Don't think that's a bad result for Munster tbh- we've played that Bordeaux team, when they cut loose stopping them is near impossible. They made a game of it even if Bordeaux never really looked under threat.

I was just saying at the kick off it was great to get a pre match analysis actually focused on Connacht and no mention of Ulster. Then the commentary has mentioned Ulster at least twice, shut up!!

This game is bonkers summing up our season. Racing maul is destroying us.

Ioane and Tracy both gone is a big loss too and Ioane looks long term

Seems Gavin's is gone off now too the injuries are mounting. Devine to the wing now

This is a tough watch. Once Racing got to the pitch of the game we've been completely and utterly outmatched. A masterclass in 14 man rugby to be fair.

it’s the hope and the chance to dream the team give you in the first quarter that makes the second half unbearable to watch

We were winning 21-5 and they hot a red card ffs now 43-28. My God it's a **** show, connacht are just like nice little show ponies

    Embarrassing. Utterly embarrassing

While I agree with the point and we are always brutal against 14 men for reasons I can't fathom I think tonight the injuries in the backline haven't helped. Ioane in at FB for Treacy off on the wing then off injured aswell. Gavin goes on the wing and had to go off at half time too.

The backline had looked very exciting but completely disjointed in the 2nd half. Hansen looks like he's been playing the 2nd half injured too se me to be carrying 1 leg

It must be said though they have so much power up front too.....

Farrell's ability to get away with stonewall red cards never fails to amaze me

Oh well, couldn't deal with the size.

    There's always next year :(

Yeah, Racing played textbook 14 man rugby and were almost perfect between the red and the Farrell yellow. The extra man doesn't matter when the ball doesn't go further than 5 metres from the ruck.

Awful. FFS, Brain dead rugby against 14. Something seriously wrong.

losing that game was painful enough without having to listen to that **** Robson on commentary.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 336 ✭✭AccidentallyOnside

Le Garrec lucky to get potm; Bamba for me, absolutely destructive when he was on the pitch.

Good fight from us, again Jansen and Boyle showed up very well. Our second rows are all fine players but we are just too small there in particular to compete.

Cant blame wilkins anymore.....hes been off for over a month now....all coaches on the chopping block...

They had a real chance of getting to a final and possible silverware and have pißsed it all away....

Mickey mouse group - guaranteeing home draws all the way to the final....handed to them on a plate and they bottled it....
