Interviewed on the Wednesday and results were out the following Wednesday.

Following day was asked to provide proof of LC by Monday just gone and still waiting to hear back.

Personally I don't mind the wait as I'm contracted to another job outside the country until the end of June so a start date in July/August if I'm successful would be fine for me.

March 20th. Heard back with the rest of the batch last week, presumably we will now be called forward to do Garda vetting etc. as posts become available

I was interviewed last week. Still waiting to hear back.

Anybody know what the pass/fail rate is like these days?

Hi, would anyone happen to know if the boards interview for an individual region at a time i.e. Dublin only or could it be a mix i.e. Dublin/Kilkenny/Waterford. I am just wondering are you potentially competing against others in your region?

Anyone have any advice for questions to ask when they ring you to offer a placement? Would that phone call be the appropriate time to ask about location and wfh/hybrid?

To give people an idea of how fast it's moving: I was originally OOM 350s, interviewed 20th March, new OOM below 20 in Dublin. Just sent off my garda vetting and references, and I'm waiting now to hear back. Anyone have an idea of how long this part of the process will take?

They give results after the whole batch has been interviewed. So it'll be a longer wait if you're at the start of the batch and a shorter wait if you're at the end of it.

Revenue have just launched a new Executive Officer competition today on their website (careers section). Looks like its specifically for Tax, Audit and Compliance roles. Closing date is May 2nd & positions are nationwide.

Hi, how many names do you give as a reference? Just want to have them ready when asked! And is the garda vetting an online form u fill in?

Hi LaydeeLuck. Yea that's interesting. It's an open one without an Inter-departmental element to it. Still waiting to be called for an interview so might need to apply to that one too. I found it a bit confusing because aren't Revenue looking to hire for tax audit and compliance roles from the current, 2024 competition?

Asking for a friend....does anyone know if when applying directly via revenue, are online assessments a part of the process or is it application > interview?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16 Nkusadasi

hi , have seen a few posts where people are referencing Location preferences etc.. if you specified Dublin in your application do you get a chance to further specify location? For example I’m living in Blanchardstown - can I request Blanchardstown as my first preference ?

hi all quick question? If you didn’t do that great in the leaving cert does that affect you getting EO?

Yes I have seen posts here whereby some candidates were given an EOI (expression of interest) opportunity for Revenue. I'm not sure why Revenue have now decided to launch their own separate competition. Perhaps they have quite a few EO vacancies to fill & maybe there has been a low level of EOI uptake from this competition?! .. It's certainly strange given that this comp has progressed so far. You would think it would be much easier to just appoint candidates from here & save on the hassle of launching another comp & arranging interviews, etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 LaydeeLuck

I believe Revenue comps also conduct online assessments & then call to interview based on the results.

Is it a bit strange that the EOI was for a select few areas (not even counties) but the new Revenue competition is Nationwide?
