How close copper rivets?

I bought a bunch of small copper rivets to reattach some metal handles:

They fit perfectly, but I don't know how to close/seal them. Do I need a rivet gun of some kind?

These are normally set with a rivet punch. You can do a fairly clean job with a small ball pein hammer.

Thanks. I have some counter punches. The issue for me is how to hammer the other side when it's the inside of a tin box and how to turn on its side to hammer without fklatenning the handle.

Depending on the accessibility, a bar held in a vice or similar setup might help?

It might be a case of clamping a hammer head or other suitably shaped piece of metal in a vice and using that as a custom made anvil? You need to be creative especially if the box/pan/dish is small or odd shaped
