I know its not an exact representation but going by the shape of the new Eco location when viewed on Google Maps it looks like a good chunk of it is actually in the woods? Basically right back where campervans used to be before they moved it last year.

Mixed feelings about Eco...distance to main stage is a lot but, a decents nights kip would be nice too, unlike last with that stupid dirty disco thingy.

I guess overall it's ok to be far enough away from any knackers, wonder will they be strict with entry, as in someone standing at entrance 24/7

The old site is marked below, it’s approx 800m further from the main arena and car parks. For me this adds 10-15km more walking over the weekend back and forth.

Thanks for the heads up, i got an Eco one, but there are two of us, so, do we need one each ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 SpaceMonkey27

    Also got one!

Major thank you for the heads-up Couldn't be dealing with the riff-raff in downtown Baghdad!

I believe you will get a wristband for the campsite, so yes.…you will need one each in my experience.

I was in the same boat, I had to create a 2nd TM account in the ‘missussusssses’ name, it was a bit fiddly as even though I was logged into a different TM account I kept getting the same message “Ticket limit exceeded” ended up putting in different address to trick it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,826 ✭✭✭fafy

cheers, it does not say that on the TM purchase page, hence my confusion.

only 1 camping ticket is allowed per TM account which is a bit of a balls, as they must know as i have 2 EP weekend tickets already purchased on my account. so my companion will have to get one on their TM account.

When you try and buy a second one you get this:

surely it’s like the camper vans and one ticket per tent?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 904 ✭✭✭antfin

I would think they're running it like the previous Eco where everyone had to book their own ticket individually.

I have two electric picnic tickets yet can only buy one eco ticket, where is the logic with this??

I tried using my alt account & entering a different address, but it still says limit exceeded

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 955 ✭✭✭adam240610

I managed to get a second one by:

Disabling wifi and using mobile data

    Using incognito on chrome

    Using my other Ticketmaster account

Used a random address somewhere else

Yes I needed all of those steps for some reason... Thanks organisers

its on the EP site alright, its one per person, a bit ridiculous someone who has two ep tickets on their account can only buy one, and making it more confusing is no info that is the case on TM site

    Thanks, this worked.

It's on the description on the Ticketmaster page also. The Eco campsite previously also required each person to get a ticket, although you could apply yourself with two seperate email addresses.

Was there own showers etc in Eco? wondering if this will be a more manic/bigger version than what it was before which people here seemed to say was pretty chilled?

I've gone to Pink Moon/Moonlight Meadows for past 6/7 years but booked Eco on Ticketmaster in case cant get one or mates won't shell out this year.

I'd imagine it's going to be a larger site than previously if there's additional dedicated showers. My reading of it is that they will try to keep it more as a clean area rather than a quiet campsite. The previous element of a more respectable crowd with less noise was more of happy by-product from having more respectful campers in the site so this might be lost a bit with a bigger site. The dedicated quiet option is Poets which is stated expressly as having a 1am noise curfew so that might be a better option, assuming it's actually enforced and they attract the right crowd.

The showers in Eco last year was a cold hosepipe that you rinsed yourself off with.

Honestly, the campsite was so lovely though. Hopefully it's similar this year!

I feel like ByeEco were responsible for making it so great though. There's no guarantee EP will put as much effort into it themselves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 2,721 ✭✭✭Fatfrog

No showers, there was a cold water hose by some straw bales for those brave enough (that’s not a joke) no real amenities, food van or anything, regular portaloos. Eco was really small 1000 ppl max that made it intimate, friendly, as it was small & wristband only, you’d get know the ppl around. A real oasis from the madness.

This new site looks a little bigger, so who knows.

ah ok so showers were still out in Jimmy Hendrix etc for the old Eco? just trying factor up if i would hack it out of pink moon :D i did find the queues for all normal facilities in general camping a bit stressful at ATN!

looking forward. It’s going to be a great weekend. Anyone here into 1998-2004 Trance? Or Rave in the woods?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 168 ✭✭darzog

sorry pal. I only dig trance up to and including 31 December 1997, and would you believe it, from 1 January 2005 onward. I mean, what are the chances? I’m mourning the conversations that will now never take place… I refer you to @Stillill42 re. the rave in the woods
