Dublin City Council Staff Officer 2024

    well lads, I just found out today that I was successful in my most recent Application and interview and was placed on a panel in the mid 50s for the staff officer competition under panel B ( open, not in DCC or CS). Just wanted to know if anyone has any insight as to if I’ll be called for a vacancy or not, my mate is in the early 100s so I know they have a pool of at least 105+ and a family friend said they have a panel of 130 people. This is a job I really want but don’t want to get my hopes up, any advice?

    Congrats on making the panel, you'll definitely get a job out of it, just a matter of time. Went for it myself and was a bit surprised/disappointed not to make the cut. Would be interested to hear your thoughts, if any, on the interview process.

    Just to update this thread, I got called for my medical this month and pre contract offer has been sent to me. It seems to be flying along, with at least mid 50s/ being called up. I wouldn't lose hope yet. Ill keep this updated just so people have a look on timeline. Just for context, at the end of February I was offered a position, and have been waiting since. Cant wait to start!!

    Hi all, apols for hijacking this tread but I’m keen to go into DCC at staff officer level. Does anyone here know if there has already been a recruitment campaign in 2025? I know there was an assistant staff officer campaign recently. Thanks a mill, and hope the new role is going well!
