I got a 3-day forum ban for calling someone a rat.

This person isn't a member, more it is a public personality.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Name-calling is fine for some people but not for others. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen Conor McGregor called a scumbag (rightly so, imo) and nothing is done about it.

However, I refer to someone as a rat and it's worthy of a 3-day ban?

I've tried to reach out to the mod on this but they're not answering me, so I'd like it ramped up please.

There is no appealing of CA ban until the 7th warning/6 month ban mark.

So mods can just hand out warnings which trigger bans for no reason whatsoever without any discussion?

You'll excuse me if I believe that to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

What's the rule here, then? Some people can be insulted but others can't?
