Do not use Caseking

Do not use Caseking, I'm down nearly €600 since December and they are dragging out the returns for months-

December 2024 - I bought a GPU in December, to go with a new Windows 11 PC build.

January 2025 - It developed a constant code 43 fault and eventually would not start at all. I returned it. They claimed they could not reproduce the fault and sent it back to me.

February 2025 - I tried it in the new build again, same fault. I put an older GPU in new machine, no fault (and still no fault, over a month later) I tried it in an old Windows 10 PC, same Code 43 fault. I sent it back with video evidence. They again claimed they could not reproduce the error. Offered to send it to manufacturer at my expense.

I told them no, this has gone on long enough and I am entitled to a refund. They claim they are entitled to take months for investigation and sending to the manufacturer due to German law. I point out I am buying from Ireland, so EU law applies. I made a claim through via EU Online Dispute Resolution system. They threatened to charge me stocking fee for holding onto the card in the meantime. They then waited out the 30 days to finally agree to a mediator, which now has up to 90 days to get back to us over a clearly faulty GPU.

That is potentially up to 6 months, €600 spent and no GPU to show for it.

That's pretty awful customer care. Is a chargeback worth looking at? Definitely the type of thing to stop me using a retailer.

Sorry your dealing with this crap, Amazing how companies are so willing to destroy goodwill/reputation, this will definitely play a part in myself choosing them for any future purchases

That is dreadful. I remember your issue and you've got plenty of evidence to show it's the GPU. No harm throwing your story up on Reddit. Someone in Caseking is digging in their heels. Would definitely make me pause on dealing with them as these faults can and do happen.

I have actually put it on reddit. Surprising number of responses on the Irish Gaming subreddit that amount to:

"Why should I care/stop using them if you had a problem, I've never had to return anything to them and so have never had a problem with them".

Always the way though, isn't it ?

Any place can take money, accept an order and deliver it in within reasonable criteria (GPUs of the last few years aside), but you can only really judge a company for how they handle a problem when/if it arises.

Had my own run-in with a crowd about 10 years ago with an EK Predator AIO. Developed a fault in the tubing leading to a visible drip on the manifold etc. Lucklily hadn't caused any damage as it was caught very quickly. Returned for an RMA and they refused it showing two pictures taken in their warehouse with one tube ripped off the rad saying I had done it. Didn't want to know about it until they were scuppered by pictures I had taken of it being packaged and boxed up with no damage before sending it off. I stated that I wanted a refund, not a replacement and that not only would I be advising anyone asking me about PC components to avoid said company, but that I would rather pay double the amount with their competitor for any item than give them any further business.

Sounds a bit Alan Partridge I know, but I got my refund (no apology mind you) and that company have lost out on some significant purchases over the years. Irony of it all is that EK recalled the Predators not long after due to leakage issue.

Hope you get sorted out - keep at them !
