    Ian Dury documentary and two live gigs are on BBC4 tonight. The OGWT one I'm pretty sure I've seen before, but there's another one from Luton which is billed as one of his last ever concerts

    Not sure if the documentary is the one done very shortly before he died where he spoke about his life and career, I think it is.

    I had that on mute bar the Stereophonics as I was fitting an old acoustic guitar with new strings. Think I'll move on to the classical guitar before Ian Dury & The Blockheads later.

    The brilliant Wilko Johnson from Dr Feelgood playing with Ian Dury & The Blockheads. Although a really unique and talented guitar player he reckoned he was never good enough for this band as he wasn't a funk player.

    He also used to stay up for a week at a time with Lemmy doing speed in the early 70's. Day three was the optimal snap, crackle and pop day apparently.

    Looks like the bass player in the Boomtowns is playing a Steinberger bass.

    Geddy Lee played them in the 80's.
