Folding Ladder Loft Door Catch / Attic Stairs Door Catch

I'm looking for a door catch for our folding ladder door for the attic. Proving difficult to find in Ireland. Got this link to something similar in Estonia: https://www.fiskostar.ee/products/closers/closers/window-lock-507-zn/514
It has worn down where the square bar goes into and turns to open / close the lock.

Maybe take it to an engineering shop and they could make to square tabs and tack them in place to replace that.

If thats not an option maybe a different sized latch DIY for. Might have to plug the mortice up well to refit the new latch

looks very like standard electrical cabinet lock. Also used on most industrial access doors etc..

Had a quick look at e bay - Samantha4Hardware has something similar in stock, no dimensions are shown, it looks a bit smaller but you could make it fit. At £11.00 sterling it may be worth a try if nothing else shows up.

If you can find a shop selling Fakro attic ladders they should be able to order a spare latch. Or else just contact Fakro direct. Hope this helps

Had a quick look on e bay and couldn't find it, could be sold out. Amazon UK have a similar one, sold by EAI Store but it's sold out at the moment. Their description is : Mortice Budget Lock Recessed Lock Type. It will give you an idea of what's available + size etc. (Tried to attach a link but it's not working for me)
