Anyway, before bed, I went back over my notes to see what I’d written about Mary. One of the posts id flagged for myself was this one…
The note I made was that this post nearly came across as open wolfing. That it’s not clearly stating the wolves as an “other”. But it was weak enough. Enough to note for later, but not enough (at the time) to argue strongly. Enough for me to list Mary as a worry but not enough for me to personally switch my vote. But In retrospect, it does read now as open wolfing.
The thing was, it caught my attention cause Holly had posted something extremely similar an hour and an half earlier.
I noted down Hollys post with the same fear. That it can be construed as open wolfing, where they’re loving the conflict between Fiona and Vern. Where they know it’s villager on villager and are trying to look calm, but in the process, kind of having some fun stoking the fires, a bit.
The only other worry I’ve noted on Holly is their very early post about the possibility of wolves bussing each other, which was a weird early post. Post 43.But a part of me wonders, now knowing Mary was a wolf and was effectively gloating, if Holly and Mary had been having this discussion in a back room too, and were using the line of discussion cause they agreed it was a good one.
