I had to Google Isobel may to see if she was somewhere Jennifer Lawrences sister, they are so alike.

I've liked everything in the Yellowstone franchise.

Adolescence is fine. It's slow, well acted, the camera work is technically good/interesting, but maybe over done. I wouldn't call it superb or dreadful. It's like a sombre slow stage play.

Is there a dubbed English version available? The only English soundtrack option on Netflix was 'audio described' where there is basically a commentary version, designed for people with sight loss.

I wouldn't usually go for dubbed as I find it quite jarring, but I'm surprised all the same that there isn't an option for it.

I watched Adolescent episode one there, heavy stuff. A very promising start.

Adolescence is powerful and thought provoking . Maybe watch again and listen to the words

I will get around to Adolescence but have to be in mood for it.

Just started Toxic Town, jaysus first episode is very hard hitting. It's very good.

I've literally just finished 1883 there a few minutes ago. Barely knew Yellowstone existed. Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed this. Quite sad. Brutal. But, not knowing Yellowstone seemed to make no difference. Enjoy!

The Remarkable Life of Ibelin is worth a watch.

I love good suspense films and gripping thrillers. Three series I watched lately that I really enjoyed:

The Relacement. A really good psychological thriller. Bit implausible at times and I found the main character a bit annoying, but a fairly gripping three hour episode watch, great for a rainy Friday night like tonight.

La Palma. Really excellent. Scary and quite realistic. Not a great idea to watch it if you've a holiday in any of the Mediterrenean islands coming up. Or any island for that matter.

Departure. Gets mixed reviews, especially for some poor acting, but that's not true of season 1 which has Christopher Plummer. And overall season 1 is really addictive watching, great plot. Season 2 is rubbish, imo, and loads of bad acting in that.

I binged on Running Point, episodes are short, Kate Hudson is great as Isla, giving 80s 90s Goldie Hawn vibes with fantastic style, Chet Hanks (another son of Tom) as Travis is the show's mvp for me, the brothers can be annoying though but overall enjoyable

    Anyone watched The Electric State?

Curious to know what Netflix think is worth spending $320 million on.

Didn't think it was up to much. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to pay to see it at the cinema. It wasn't bad but there wasn't much story and the actors didn't seem to have any presence on screen.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Sorry for non recommendation, but anytime else having an issue with the app sending multiple notifications for the same thing?

I've received about 5 or 6 so far asking if I want to rewatch the last XXX film.

The Life List is billed as a romance/comedy but it's more of a cheesy weepie.

The two leads are excellent, Kyle Allen in particular has real leading man charisma (I also recommend "the map of tiny perfect things").

    I personally absolutely loved it

(I would say I might be in the minority though)

I found the single shot, live aspect meant the acting really suffered and took me out of it.

No yellowstone season 5 on netflix. Looking online there I can only see season 5 part 1. Is there a part 2? I see Kevin Costner has left the series so have they just canned part 2? Basically wondering if it's worth bothering watching season 5.

I think there is, 14 episodes in total for season 5, all in Paramount (at least according to justwatch.com).

You can watch Season 5 on the RTE Player

Dark for a mind-bending thriller, or Brooklyn Nine-Nine for some light comedy!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭Romario11

Dont waste your time with the last season, it is a mega drop off in quality. It's really wishy washy stuff which after such a good few season is very annoying. Sheridan is busy buying cars and houses with all his cash, the writing on his shows, their intensity and intrigue has fallen off a cliff unfortunately. Mayor of Kingstown the only one I thought that hasn't.

Final episodes are on Amazon Prime I think. Yes disappointing 'end' and very dragged out with some silly diversions to main story. And Kevin Costner does not make an appearance at all in second set of episodes. The music and the scenery are the main 'stars' for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,199 ✭✭✭The Raging Bile Duct

I watched the Replacement so that you don't have to. Avoid at all costs… absolute muck and present me is seriously pissed off with past me for staying up to watch the final episode rather than going to bed and getting an extra hours sleep.

You should stop watching all those XXX rated movies, it's bad for your eyesight, don't you know.
