Those 2 lads are excellent but I felt they had a distinct advantage being athletes, especially Rhys.

Not taking from his win but other contestants wouldn't have the stamina or athleticism.

I wanted him to win anyway.

Two of the best competitors the show has had in its run in one season.

I don't think Rhys or Jack's athleticism is an advantage any more than a high-profile personality's clout or following.

Won't say it often, but fair play to RTE for getting these two olympians on board. They deserve a spotlight. Rhys is literally the best person in the world at what he does, they've never landed such a talent before. Karen's comment couldn't have been better put, how could anyone judge him. Deserving winner, and no tears required.

That was a very enjoyable season, plenty of excellent competitors. Personally I think Jack was the best dancer overall, but Rhys is a more than worthy winner and I'm delighted for him and Laura. And tbf, I think the Spiderman routine was the standout dance of the whole season.
