That's a harsh penalty for crossing. Italy have been doing that in nearly every attack.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

This is awful stuff. Ireland look like an old team with no ideas.

It's been said by many recently, the lack of speed, not only on the wings, is a glaring issue.

Knock on after knock on. Can't hold the ball.

Ringrose missing a raft of tackles, he's been poor so far

    Crowley making all the difference.

Probably our worst half of the tournament. Forwards are taking on far too much themselves and not allowing the ball to go past 9. Then when it actually goes wider we have very little shape in attack. It gets flung wide to one support player with nobody around

Hopefully we will be number 1 in the world in November, that is what it is all about!

Similar stuff by them for their first try, but a bit more clever about it. We just look narrow and on top of each other. Spacings are all off.

    100% deliberate.

not many coming out if this tournament in credit but I’d say Easterby is the man whose prospects have been damaged most. The team looks sloppy, frankly. They’ve had 2 or 3 decent periods in the whole comp, failing to score early or put teams away, multiple cards and totally predictable. I’m not looking forward to the ABs in November, that could be a long day for us.

    Blatant and idiotic from Lamaro.

    And the try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,226 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

Fair play Luke - knew instinctively that wasn’t right.

Now THATs a dumb penalty lmao

    Gift of a try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,263 ✭✭✭testtech05

As bad as Ringrose was earlier what was Lamarro thinking there and he's just on. It was so bad it deserved a try to be conceeded

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,709 ✭✭✭A-Train

Ireland do well to finish that try after being gifted that by a brain dead decision by the Italian to give away that penalty.

We don't deserve the lead at all considering how bad we've been.

Now we need to press home the advantage in the second half when they're down to 14 and having already made early injury subs.

    that’s a bad conversion miss

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 16,143 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Terrible conversion attempt. Halftime lead all the same, and that is about the only positive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 652 ✭✭✭HanShotFirst

Lineout mail or nothing from Ireland

This is a dreadful Italian team in defence

I don't want to hear another word about Crowley V Prendergast on this forum.

    Not. Another. Word.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,263 ✭✭✭testtech05

Jack didn't catch that conversion attempt right at all complete shank

I think we are missing Mike Catt for attack… we look rudderless out there.. Even in the November series you could see the signs…

Prendergast with an awful kick there ffs

That was a big break for us, Italy picking up a yellow card for a cynical deliberate knock on

And we capitalize immediately by getting a try that just about has us ahead at half-time, 12-10.

    But, we've been stink rotten.
