Becoming clear that what we saw against Wales and France weren't one offs. Looking very elderly. Henshaw is frightfully slow. Probably a good time for a refresh anyway.

    henshaw some liability

Crowley and SP are much of a muchness. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. He's just having moments so far. We weren't keeping Dan Carter on the bench.

Both SP and Crowley need equal game time to develop the two.

It'll need a ballsy coach to identify who to move on and what younger players to introduce.

We are absolutely shocking. Confidence is completely gone.

Lack of control and game management out there

An awful lot of very poor mistakes again already. Guys running the same lines poor handling etc. Not sure what kind of system Goodman is trying to bed in but it isn't looking great so far

’Ireland look like robots’ is a good description, Easterby is furious

I want him to stand in the 10 position? That seemed fairly clear.

I don't imagine it is all on him, it is presumably a strategy to some degree but I don't understand it.

As regards the continual pick and gos. Yes, a lot of that is on JGP, but the 10 will have a better view of the space and should be directing things. Doesn't rule out that the forwards just ignored him and stuffed it up of course.

Second time in as many games where Henshaw gets the ball in the wide channel and it dies with him. He has zero pace and offers no threat in broken play.

This is as bad as we've played in 3 years. So so sloppy.

Beirne, Conan, Ringrose with dumb pens

    RYAN can't catch the ball

Henshaw looks like my grandad out there

Something is amiss. Osborne really needs to be in at 12.

Farrell must be fuming at home watching this.

    We have been absolutely shocking.

Shades of 2013 about this one (although at least that day we had a boatload of injuries which contributed)

Struggling against a side that's conceded 18 tries in their last 2 games. Our attack relies on rapid ruck speed, which we had at our peak but not anymore.

Italy attack looks very much more dangerous than ours at times

That's a harsh penalty for crossing. Italy have been doing that in nearly every attack.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

This is awful stuff. Ireland look like an old team with no ideas.

It's been said by many recently, the lack of speed, not only on the wings, is a glaring issue.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,673 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

Knock on after knock on. Can't hold the ball.

Ringrose missing a raft of tackles, he's been poor so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,598 ✭✭✭ArielAtom

    Crowley making all the difference.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Probably our worst half of the tournament. Forwards are taking on far too much themselves and not allowing the ball to go past 9. Then when it actually goes wider we have very little shape in attack. It gets flung wide to one support player with nobody around

Hopefully we will be number 1 in the world in November, that is what it is all about!

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭fitz

Similar stuff by them for their first try, but a bit more clever about it. We just look narrow and on top of each other. Spacings are all off.

    100% deliberate.

not many coming out if this tournament in credit but I’d say Easterby is the man whose prospects have been damaged most. The team looks sloppy, frankly. They’ve had 2 or 3 decent periods in the whole comp, failing to score early or put teams away, multiple cards and totally predictable. I’m not looking forward to the ABs in November, that could be a long day for us.

    Blatant and idiotic from Lamaro.
