HKC Tamper zone

I have a HKC House Alarm, all wireless.

It has 5 x PIRs, 3 x door sensors, 2 x keyfobs, 1 x 12V, 7.2AH rechargeable battery in the power supply "cabinet" and 1 x outside Alarm bell but this is fed (wired) from the supply cabinet and has no battery.

I got a routine service a week ago which included changing all the batteries but on 3 occasions I have got a alarm alert on the alarm panel which then says/speaks "Tamper Zone 17 Living Room" when I press the alarm code, it resets then when I again insert the alarm code. This occurs while we are in the house but not in the Living Room.

Tamper Zone 18 Upstairs (the landing) does this likewise very very occasionally, maybe 4 or 5 times since the system was installed exactly 12 years ago.

I will obviously be contacting the service person, the only thing I noticed is that Panasomic batteries were the replacements used, the original and last (and only) service over 4 years ago used Duracell.

The service person just inhibited all the devices tamper alarm alerts.

This can happen with older wire free devices.

The engineer can inhibit the tamper on the devices causing the issue or replace them depending on what you want to do. Its done in engineer mode.

Its not the batteries causing this.
