    Amazing result. 16pts clear.

    17pts more needed

    Who would have thought …

Currently 23 points behind Liverpool who have played an extra game.

Typical Liverpool being able to make 6 subs today to help them win.....

    .

    .

    .

And before anyone jumps on me, that's tongue in cheek. I'm well aware of why they were able to.

I'm all for being careful with player concussions but I disagree with this rule

If Southampton had already made 5 subs when it happened then fine

But with 5 subs each at that point I don't get why you need to give out extra ones before any have been made in the game

I've been wondering why Pep persisted with Ortega for so long but Ederson was atrocious for that Forest goal.

I wonder if internally the bottom 3 are talking about that if they can’t get ahead of Wolves, it could be important to finish 3rd bottom, just in case City get punished.

I listened to that four part BBC Sounds podcast on the City case that was mentioned here last week. Not a whole lot new in it, if you’d been following it. (About 1 and a half of the episodes were dedicated to City’s successes particularly the Aguero moment and the CL win). I forgot that the Thai ex-PM had bought them for 160m and then sold to Abu Dhabi for 200m.

There were a few City fans interviewed and they all pretty much sang off the same hymn sheet saying we’ll accept whatever punishment we get, we’ll stick by the team, we’ve been in lower divisions before and came back. Without specifically saying it, i thought it was clear they all know City are guilty but they are hopeful it won’t be proven so they will get off.

Points deduction in the range of 60-100 points was mentioned as the likely punishment if found guilty.

Hopefully the punishment is spread over a few premiership years to reflect the years they’ve been accused of cheating.

So maybe a 60-70 point deduction for 5 consecutive premiership seasons. So every time they come back up they go straight back down.

If it’s a points deduction for just one season then it’s not a punishment.

Expecting a punishment to spread over different seasons is setting yourself up for disappointment. Not going to happen.

A 60 point deduction would mean one year out of the Prem League and, likely 2 years out of Europe. Financial penalties will be important.

Having a great time as a neutral but I can't imagine these opening 20 minutes have been great viewing for Spurs fans, could be down 2 or 3 goals all from their own errors already.

Chelsea take the lead through Cucurella. The Leicester players stood off, no marking whatsoever and he takes a shot from distance that finds the bottom right hand corner. Van Nistelrooy disgusted with his players.

You just had a feeling Arsenal would concede from this self inflicted free kick. Having been completely outplayed, United are leading through a Fernandes free kick and their first shot on target. Trossard didn't need to foul Garnacho.

Financial penalties mean nothing to the UAE. Cost of doing business.....pay lawyers, pay bribes, pay fines.... It's all the same and it's all built into the overall project costs.

You'd have to question Reyas positioning there though. Did he really think the shot was coming to his right from Brunos right footed shot?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,129 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Ya, Raya had very poor positioning. He went way too far to his right initially.

Flavour of the month Lewis-Skelley not called out as a cheat on Sky

    He's "clever"

Good strike from Rice squares it 1-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,024 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Always handy having a st George's cross beside your name

Equaliser now, Rice buries at and shushes the crowd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,186 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

    Proper striker buries that

    Gave Rice the chance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,129 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

So poor by Arsenal. Then poor from Hojlund, took too long, allowing Rice to make the tackle. Then Trossard should have done better with his shot at the other end.

    Terrible last 5mins from Arsenal

Just keeping giving the ball back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,129 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

It wouldn't have counted as he was offside, but that was an awful miss by Martinelli.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,787 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Huge miss, hardly a great save, no one should miss from there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,209 ✭✭✭✭klose

Clanger from Onana but was offside in any case, poor effort from Fernandez there had the whole goal and he stuck it down Rayas throat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,616 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

perfect result - neither party overly happy. 5 wins (probably 4 will do it)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,129 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

That's a result (draw) that does nothing for either side. Liverpool are the winners from that match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,002 ✭✭✭✭8-10

    15pts clear

16pts needed (15pts depending on goal difference)

I think 5 wins does it

TV director will get in trouble for leaving that sign linger on the telly for so long lol

Don’t watch that much of Man Utd, but is Garnacho always that selfish? Would drive you mad if you were a teammate or fan.

United actually played very well for the last 20 mins after the Rice equaliser. Apart from Onana. Mazaroui was very good i thought.
