Yes Limerick were excellent but I don't think I could pick out one Galway player that played well even if Shane Dowling had to make a few saves.

Still Limerick could have had 3 or 4 goals in 1st half.

Beggars belief that wasn't a red card. One of the worst of those head challenges I've seen. Casey is lucky he wasn't more seriously injured, although concussion is bad enough.

Just looking at the table tonight, still all to play for in the remaining games for Kilkenny and Clare to avoid the relegation drop along with Wexford to 1b next year.

ye Limerick will be serious next week having all their players back. Anyway bring on Tipp tomorrow and we will surely see what our lads are made of.

If there is a red card given out James Owens is always there. ( red menace).

Massive match in the park today for both teams really. Will tell a lot where the 2 teams are at and what ceiling they have.

No Huw today, Owen Wall on the bench so I guess he didn't leave the panel

KK must be the most un-coached team in the country. 20 bad balls to forwards so far.

    Problems scoring from play again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,673 ✭✭✭me89

Not much positives to take from that half. Everyone looks off

Just in the Park here here what are they doing with a 38 year old man injured doing on the pitch. TJ can't move

Long ball to TJ again and again 😭

What an awful first half performance from us. Completely off the pace in terms of doing the basics and we're playing stone age hurling compared to Tipp. Can't blame the coaching for everything, some of the decision making of the players is truly shocking. Mossy Keoghan has 3 points from play but he's really the only player who has done alright and even he missed a goal chance that he should have buried.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,673 ✭✭✭me89

Any he's still putting more effort in then some, Dunne got his goal but before that him and Drennan offered absolutely nothing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 510 ✭✭✭Butterbeans

We're really seeing how important Lawlor is for us too. Not a lot to take from the first half. Took us an age to score from play.

1-3 from play put of 1-10 in the first half from home. Tipp, for comparison, have got 0-5 from 2-13.

2-8 to 1-3 from play. And even at that, Billy Ryan gave one of the most blatant throws in the game to assist for the goal.

Tipp miles ahead of us in most areas. Physically bullying us out of it. Yeah, we’re missing a few, but that doesn’t excuse the repeated poor performances.

I have a feeling this is going to be Derek’s Lyng’s last year, because it’s quite clear while we lack the players, we also lack the coaching in open play, and in your third season it should be better than that.

If Clare beat Cork today we are in big trouble

We know for a fact this Kilkenny team is not beating Limerick without Blanchfield and Carey gone out of team next weekend.

Relying on other results now not to get relegated to 1b.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 154 ✭✭Box to box

Kk have being fairly shocking and thats two home defeats and Limerick could relegate them next weekend. As we all know kk are a one of the worst coached teams in the country. Its the fact that we had some very good hurlers that kept us very competitive. I've heard the horror stories that have gone on in training.last year they were happy to have no proper coach, Peter o Donovan doing under 12 drills, nothing done on puckouts, movement and tactics. Herity had hogan's puckouts bang on compare that to Michael rice doing the puckouts for Murphy. I accept tipp have a lot done but kk are definitely in reverse and results will back it up. Huge re think is years over due

We haven't a hope in hell of beating Limerick..I expect Limerick to name a strong team and beat us like Tipp did today. Maybe a relegation might wake up the county board because we are miles off what is required to win an All ireland. We deserve to be the way we are

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 315 ✭✭jimmythesulk

Our discipline was shocking today. All 3 red cards fully deserved ( pure stupidity from Mikey Carey) as was the tipp one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,827 ✭✭✭Archduke Franz Ferdinand

The sendings of meant it’s impossible to analyse anything from that game. But have KK progressed any nearer the big three Munster teams? Doesn’t look like it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9 blahblah82

Don't read too much into that game. Too many players got the line to do that, and remember, it's the league!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,317 ✭✭✭blackcard

One of the worst days as a Kilkenny follower. No plan, no disclipine, no players coming through. Radical changes needed.

I have no words anymore that was so bad it was like we had a whole different 15 players out on the field compared to last sat

Tipp did what they liked no aggression from us no pace no off the ball running no option for the players in possession

No fight no player helped the man next to him to even try win a ball no touch no control no adjustments from the line to counteract tipp

It looked like we did not prep for what tipp were going to bring at all
