    Great bronze for Horvat in the 800mts..she looks wrecked after 2-300 metres but carries on !!

    Disappointing for Coscoran, but not sure he did a lot wrong there. Put himself in a good position, just didn't have it in the final 150.

    Lots of little surges during the race may not have helped, bit surprised West beat him, I was after hearing that West couldn't stay with him in training. You'd also imagine that a 7.30 guy would have the wheels

    Fantastic day and three hard won medals.

    A great tribute to the hard work of the athletes and the teams of people who support them. Michael O'Connor was the very epitome there of high-level amateur sacrifice and involvement, he should be as proud of himself as of his hugely admirable daughter.

    great day of athletics. Ireland had never won 3 medals at this event before and won 3 in less than an hour. Healy was sensational and O’Connor’s braveness was incredible to watch.

    Fantastic stuff, that hour was amazing. There was opportunities there and they all took them which was great to see. Mark English does have my nerves shattered at times but great he got there, from the gap opening for him in the heats it's just been there for his this champs.. Sarah Healy, was screaming at the tele from 3 laps to go could see the gold was on…what a run from her and delighted for her. And Kate O'Connor, on a superb day of pbs for her…a superb run in the 800m to win the bronze. Briliant stuff all around.

    Apparently she has been nursing an injury since after the Olympics. Raftery and Greene also out injured. I wonder should Becker be keeping an eye out to freshen up her training setup?
