I had been thinking that it may be possible for the courts to instruct that a lawyer [approved of by the law library] be appointed to represent Burke in court, that the lawyer take only instructions [which he/she knows to be lawful] from Burke when his contempt case is due before the court, that the same apply where the case Burke has about the "alleged" unfair hearing he got at the adjudication hearing board is concerned. No more courtroom stunts from Burke or his family to be entertained when his case is before the court. His court appointed, law library certified lawyer is all he needs there to allow the justice system here to proceed without clown acts disrupting it.

The right to self representation is fundamental AFAIK.

I can see what you are trying to address but that is impossible.

Citizens have a right to choose and instruct their own legal counsel.

Each judge already has the legal means to control his courtroom.

Even in the USA it is illegal to shoot an unarmed person for alighting from a vehicle.

Unfortunately that control has proven not to be applicable or useful to get our country over the Burke hump which is to disrupt our legal system. He has managed to bring our country to a legal standstill. When a person is not willing to represent him/herself in line with the law in court, a lawyer can be appointed to represent him/her.

TBF Burke didn't force a high court judge to give a 14 month "temporary" injunction on a appeals panel meeting on the most frivolous of grounds.

Also TBF Burke didn't force the DPP into cowardice in refusing to criminally charge him.

Burke is an absolute stain, but he has been facilitated to the Nth degree.

That's my point. He has been given leniency to the point of absurdity. The time has long gone past for a different approach to be taken with him. If he wants to be a special case, oblige him but do it NOT on his terms, which has been the case to date.

I still don't think that's reason enough to just shoot him though 😂

Only if they lack capacity to represent themselves. Burke does not lack capacity

no, but in fairness the type of person who’d take a shot at someone they disagreed with isn’t really going to concern themselves with the morality!

No doubt… he will be withdrawing his salary each money, keeping it in cash.

    They cant get blood out of a stone, if he is a NINJA (no income, no job, no assets}

When one's defence line, as parroted by his family in conjunction with him, is that God over-rules the judges rulings and uses it to call into question the authority under which the courts and the judges operate, then I suggest that his capacity should be called into question as it is clearly an attempt to substitute our civil law with what he wants to be the recognized law of our country.

You can either play with one set of rules or the other set of rules but not both as a matter of personal choice or when its convenient for Burke to do so.

which wouldn’t do a thing to stop the DOE deducting at source.

I'm not saying the current strategy is superior but yours would potentially be a bad idea too....

I'm sure it would lend fuel to the fire he was being treated "unfairly" that there's an agenda etc....make him more of a martyr to a certain cohort et

    From the brothers mouth:

Sponsored · Paid for by Josiah Burke  · BREAKING: Enoch Burke to be stripped of his salary after refusing to affirm transgenderism. Lawyers for the Attorney General Rossa Fanning were in the High Court this morning making submissions to Mr Justice David Nolan on how best to strip Enoch Burke’s salary from him. In a recent ruling granting the Attorney General permission to go after Enoch Burke’s livelihood, Mr Justice David Nolan made a finding of fact that was completely contrary to the evidence before the Court. When he was challenged about this today, Mr Justice Nolan lied about what the evidence had been, refused to entertain any submissions on the matter, and eventually called the Gardaí to the courtroom. Enoch Burke has already spent 500 days unjustly incarcerated. Now the Government and the Courts are working together to penalise him further by removing his salary. All this because an excellent teacher is simply refusing to bow to transgender ideology.

Seriously, do you think it would it be possible to do that [alleged agenda-wise] and make him more of a martyr above that which his own family have messaged?

^^^ it's gas how they need to constantly lie about events in order to further their religious agenda

His capacity to befuddle the law here with his lies is something that has to be faced down or it'll allow him and his family continue to smear the names and reputations of others the Burkes dislike to the extreme they'd harass them publicly at home and office. If it takes a change in law to force them to cease their malicious activities and false claims, then yes. There have been calls here in this debate for that to be done where Burke himself is concerned. Ignoring the joint campaign the Burkes are running to supplant our civil law with their own brand of religious law is something that must be faced down. He has been at it now in and out of the courts for over two years now. I doubt very much his capacity to understand the concept of civil law and stay within its limits due to his religious beliefs.

An attachment order will ensure an amount is paid to the courts by the Department and he'll never have a chance to remove it.

I suspect his bank accounts are already empty and all money transferred to the family already.

Have you not been aware of their utterances until now? One of his family is sponsor-promoting their line regularly. The latest piece is overhead in this thread.

laughing at the idea Burke has or is going to drain his bank account as a result. This fella isn’t playing 4D chess one step ahead- he’s consistently being several steps behind and just seems to think if he plugs his ears and shouts LA LA LA LA LA all of it’s going to go away and he’ll be back to work tomorrow.

He’s living in la la land.

The main thing the whole Enoch Burke circus shows is the absolute ineffectiveness of the courts system. Said system is set up purely to benefit the legal eagles from the 4 gold mines. Everything is a potential cash cow for endless appeals, judicial reviews and appeals to the Supreme Court with, at every turn, a rapacious band of solicitors, barristers and hangers on greedily suckling on the teat. The Irish judicial system doesn't dispense justice, it dispenses the law.

Any properly functioning judiciary would have given Burke a toe up the hole and told him to f&ck off years ago. This is a charade.

And yes, I know Burke is defending himself, but he is availing of the same open goal nonsense set up by the Irish legal system.

Time to gut the 4 courts.

Does anyone really know what their objectives are aside from them being fundamentalist? Does anyone really care?

Regardless, their protests generally follow a religious theme even if their execution is usually un-Christian.

Ok, what are they supposed to do here?

If he's imprisoned, people whinge that he's a political prisoner etc.
