Trump said he would sanction Russia today - and about 5 seconds later he said that Putin was much easier to work with, and he said that these Russian attacks are "what anyone would do"

If this was 1941 he would have been besotted with Hitler.

Is anyone in authority seriously asking if the US President is actually compromised, if he's under Russian control somehow, willingly, or otherwise.

Let's say Donald come out tomorrow and says he is signing over Alaska to Russia and gets admits he has been married to Putin for the past two decades it would make no difference, the Maga hoard will back their guy and the other Republicans are too spineless

Trump does not have the moral courage to admit that being president is not a job he can do; the Russians have so much on him he can't be president without doing evil. He needs to admit this to himself and step down. It is the only moral exit - apart from turning against the Russians, which he is unlikely to do.

It looks like history is starting up again.

Bingo. It's entirely hollow optics. Followed by Trump saying Putin pounding Ukraine is what anyone would do. Never mind that message from Trump is also entirely meaningless. He'll hit them with more US sanctions(& sanctions)? Against what? US Russia trade fell off a cliff since 22 so his fave word tariffs mean precisely nothing. Banking sanctions? Russia's already sanctioned up the wazoo and using third parties like China to get around some of that.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

Trump and Vance claiming Zelenskyy did not show enough gratitude to the USA proves to be complete lies as they bring political leadership in the USA to a new low:

    https://ua-stena.info/en/video-of-zelensky-saying-thank-you-to-america-94-times-goes-viral/

Meanwhile Trump claims to understand putin's actions in pounding Ukraine as he wants to bring the war to an end and wants peace. Seen a social media post claiming to show a cluster munition was just used by putin's terrorists on the town of Dobropillia. USA president now openly siding with terrorists as he does not like Zelenskyy is a shocking development and the half of the US population that voted him in to power now have innocent blood on their hands.

11 innocent people murdered by Putins forces last night, Trump has their blood on his hands.

Russia smells weakness upon America. So now they go back to there tried and tested method of blowing up civilians and causing terror.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

looks like Trump has really fcuked the Ukrainian operation in Kursk. No sooner had he pulled the intel, than the Russians magically started making serious progress there

Wouldn’t be one bit surprised if he had pre-warned Putin beforehand that the intel was being stopped, and to be ready ☹️

Are some people seriously thinking of inviting to Ireland the man whose moves are seriously weakening an already embattled Ukraine. Trump is complicit in bombings like this and the deaths they are causing every day - in my view a State visit should not be on offer this coming week.

The U.S. has informed NATO of its intention to stop participating in the planning of future military exercises in Europe.

And so it begins, first weaken Ukraine, then weaken Europe.

The world view of tyrants doesn't care about the little people. Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, killed millions. Oligarchs and super wealthy people are often the same. Jeff Bezos wants his employees to be "terrified" all the time so they work harder. Right wing people seem to share the same contempt for anyone weak enough to be victimised by them.

In Trump's brain, Putin is strong and doing what needs to be done to make his country bigger, the fact that a few million people might be killed or displaced doesn't register. They're just a statistic to him, or maybe as Putin sees it, something to be weaponised as a mass influx of refugees to enemy countries.

Trump is a sociopathic monster, like Putin, who cares nothing for other people. We must treat him like the threat he is.

    As does Europe.

It's was clear for a year that Trump was going to get reelected but Europe sat on its hands. It has been clear for 18 months that NATO and the western alliance was fractured beyond repair yet we did nothing. Nothing that Trump has done in the he last 6 weeks has been remotely surprising to me yet most of the European leadership seems to be shock. Have they been living under a rock for the last 10 years?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,761 ✭✭✭macraignil

To say Europe has just sat on its hands is just lies.

    photo_2025-03-07_21-15-04.jpg

Here is a cruise missile fired from putin's terrorist state being shot down by a French Mirage aircraft before it kills innocent civilians in Ukraine thanks to support from Europe.

Also statements being made from France that they will try to make up for intelligence supply to Ukraine from the USA being cut off due to Trump turning his back on Ukraine and Europe in their struggle with putin's terrorists.

And the F16s came exclusively from European countries like Denmark

While US sent a handful of stripped down broken M1 tanks and not a single plane and the anti aircraft defences are now useless thanks to Trump

To say that Europe did “nothing” is a an outrageous lie, but hey that’s expected of friends of Russia

Latvia calls on EU to stop issuing tourist visas to Russian citizens

Latvian Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis has called on the EU to deny Russian citizens Schengen visas. He said Europeans should recognize that they are in a state of hybrid warfare and take the threat seriously.

No brainer. Why isnt the EU taking steps to expell Hungary? Hoping for a different election outcome is a luxury we can no longer afford. Orc agents and others can come and go with no scrutiny because Hungary just issues them with documents they ought never be given. They aren't just an annoyance to the EU, they are a dangerous threat.

President Donald Trump expressed understanding Friday for Russia’s stepped-up attacks on Ukraine after the White House halted military and intelligence aid to Kyiv this week, saying that he would resume help for the beleaguered country only when Ukrainian leaders agree that “they want to settle.”

Never has a US president been more deserving of a violent end than this inhuman piece of shit. He's welcoming the deaths of Ukrainians because he thinks it will force Ukraine to capitulate to his master.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,609 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

Considering his ego, the need to be recognised as the almighty and his desire for a legacy you would think it would make sense to him to be brilliant to a wider world audience.

    Problem is, he's too stupid.

    The guy is a half-wit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,068 ✭✭✭✭cnocbui

Trump on Putin: "I think we're doing very well with Russia. But right now they're bombing the hell out of Ukraine. I'm finding it more difficult, frankly, to deal with Ukraine. And they don't have the cards ... in terms of getting a final settlement, it may be easier dealing with Russia."

Agent Kraznov's great surrender plan involves giving his master everything he want's at the cost to Ukraine of everything they don't want and nothing of what they do. On that basis, one of the two is more difficult to deal with?

I'm sure the world is going to be persuaded by that line of reasoning.

Why aren't we expelling Hungary, or taking allowed actions?

    Fico and Slovakia

Before that it was Poland of all countries and PiS

I think he really does see himself as getting a nobel peace prize for fomenting and abetting genocide in Israel and enabling the aggressor in a conflict to inflict more damage on their victim.

If he came upon a rape in progress, assuming he didn't just join in, he would genuinely offer to help hold the victim down and then expect the authorities to thank him for his contribution. Thick, stupid, moron, imbecile - they are all so wholly inadequate to describe this 'thing'.

Alice in Wonderland has nothing on the world as it is at the moment.

    Poor choice of words.

They did next to nothing extra to make up for the inevitable cut in aid from the US - the outdated F-16 were already committed. The Mirages are more of the same - outdated fighters that France are replacing with modern aircraft.

No increase in aid, no real ramp up in production. The agreement this week to increase spending will make little to no difference until 2026 at the earliest. That is likely far too late to help Ukraine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,761 ✭✭✭macraignil

There have been numerous pledges of additional financial support for Ukraine from European countries since Trump announced cutting off support from the US just days ago. Why are you repeatedly lying about Ukraine's struggle against putin's terrorists. Are you somehow benefiting from providing negative comment on Ukraine's struggle to deal with putin's terrorist state?

The situation no longer looks tenable for the Ukrainians in Sudzha. There's one road in and out of the town and it's going to be under 24 hour surveillance and constantly under attack.

The 80th Air Assault Brigade, part of the defense in this area, responded to the matter.

"Intel warned the 80th Air Assault Brigade about Russia’s plan to use underground gas pipelines near Sudzha for sabotage. Galician paratroopers set an ambush—waiting until the enemy exited the tunnel before sealing it off. Trapped inside, the group was systematically eliminated. Approx. 80% of the 100-man unit was neutralized. Russian radio confirms panic: They sent us to die."

    IMG_20250308_133916_937.jpg

Daring attack by the Russians who tried to infiltrate Sudzha as they made progress to the south. Thankfully this attack was stopped.

The incursion is becoming very narrow but hopefully Ukraine can stabilise things and at least force Russia to eventually have to attack Sudzha out in the open.
