Cost of Soil Sampling

Think it's 15 per sample Grennan charges to send them off if you take samples

Did you get the results?? Only reason I ask is that I am also with Teagasc and paid something similar back last Sept / Early October but i received no results.

I got 32 hectares tested and it cost €540, fantastic detail on the data I received back though..👍🏻

What's the charge per sample on this

What is the time limit on how long your soil sampling results are valid for when it comes to checking which type of fertilizer and quantity you can put out?

Sample can't greater than 5 hectares.

For nitrates

The point I am making is that if a soil sample is over 5 ha and that sample is used to justify applying P to that area that sample is invaiid.

Some sh*t show this is anyway.

They're just contacting me now after I trailing the cows first rotation with slurry / parlour washings, so it's useless to the grazing ground. I want to get compounds on the silage fields fairy shortly too, don't have 5-7 weeks to wait for the results there either.

They say 50 days for slurry to be fully reflected in soil results, and 90 days for compounds like 0-7-30. Doesn't seem right when dribble bar lines are visible for months while chemical is invisible after a couple days? Surely application rates should also come into the equation?

I asked if 2000g/ac of parlour washings and 3000g/ac of thick slurry get the same 50 days and they said yes according to Teagasc.
