The attack is in a sad state men, 18 without a goal early twenties striker gone off to be replacement by teenager who is not close to ready for top level football and the other great hope is 19 without a goal (and about 80 shots) early twenties attacker.

We’re the better team here, but we’re very poor on the ball, and our midfield is chronically slow in closing down and in possession.

Looking at that, if Bruno, Mainoo and Amad rotate the no10 positions between them, if the money was available, we’d still need at least three top midfielders to rotate and sub with Ugarte for the two midfield spots to be competitive on top of everywhere else.

So much of what isn’t working for United going forward and tracing back is because our centre midfield is closer to relegation standard than trophy standard.
