hi, so the garden gate into the percolation area blew down during the storm. Got a handyman to replace it and this is what I arrived home to. He’s looking to be paid naturally but I’m of the opinion this is a complete balls up? Opinions??

Does the gate swing and looking a bit crooked and no lock.

gate opens and closes normally just like the old gate but the timbers on the old gate were aligned with the fence horizontally if that makes sense.

If the hinge is on the left then the brace is on wrong, and that's part of why it's sagging. The diagonal brace should lean into the opening rather than pull the post from the top down. Have him correct that if it's wrong and maybe it will function and look better.
