I'd say the last place any leader wants to be at the moment is sitting on that chair next to Trump.

I missed most of this meeting with Trump and Zelensky, so will have to watch it back later, but just to say that I fail to see how Ukraine or Europe can trust the US government on any guarantees right now. If this ceasefire comes in, European countries are going to have to work on getting militarily independent from the US as quick as possible. Putin will probably use any European military buildup as an excuse for cancelling his 50 percent reduction in military spending promise and maybe even a casus belli in the future, but if it wasn't that it'd be something else.
