it was so much more difficult than the practice questions, it completely threw me. I got to question 4 with about 5 minutes left and even the four questions I did answer I’m not confident I answered them correctly. I’m glad I’m not the only one that has struggled but it’s quite infuriating that people wait so long to apply to be faced with a test that felt unfair and impossible to complete.

yeah I others have faced similar problems in the past and got through apparently it’ll all depended on the overall performance I’d say but it’s annoying when it’s not really focused on the job but how did you find the skills test?

    4th time applying

This Was by far the hardest IST I ever done

I’ve received an acknowledgement email about completing the IST

Found the deductive reasoning hard - ran out of time with a few left.

See how it goes! Good luck all.

Just did the IST. The practice questions for deductive reasoning were way easier than the actual ones and imo lulled you into a false sense of security lol. Practice questions took about 30 seconds each whereas the real ones were wayyy harder, especially with only 90 seconds per question.

Managed to finish with 2 seconds to spare but guessed at least half of them tbh. Just glad it's out of the way now for better or for worse.

in the same boat as you lol! Fairly blew of the cobwebs on the brain 😂😂

Just done it there today. Gutted I didn't maybe guess a few more… Think I only got through 6 (That I'm near certain I got right).

Kind of wondering if the penalty for missing questions is worse than just getting them wrong

As there are 2 tests and the deductive reasoning is clearly way harder I’m wondering would the deductive reasoning be more important than the GSA mark wise, I know they are a combined score but I’m wondering would it be a higher percentage of the score or are they 50/50.

    hello everyone

    Just done the IST there

Tricky would be an understatement but I got all the questions finished but don’t feel 100% I’ve done well but we tried anyway

Just want to say good luck to everyone and hopefully we make it through

Fingers crossed the score to pass is much lower than they originally set it 😂

    it’s so true though

I find it ridiculous that this is the test they set for entrance

The first part made sense but the second part I don’t think gives an accurate indication if you’d be suited for the role or not

Just done it there today, not feeling very confident, by a mile the hardest IST I've done and I've 3 before

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 K9Red

IST was definitely tricky! Finished with 2 mins to spare, but theres definitely one I missed. Now I wish i'd spent an extra minute on that one! Holding my breath for the 18th now.

Do we know when they'd be starting the next stage for those that pass the IST?

Would recommend deleting that, don’t give out any specifics as recruitment will be able to identify you.
