The fact he uses the words "western resolution" says all you need to know about Serbia and who they are with. No chance they should ever be allowed in the EU as along as they continue to be supportive of the Russian dictatorship. We already have Hungary to deal with as it is.

Unbelievable. Wonder do the algorithms push certain types of comments.

Last straw for me - Twitter/Twatter/X confined to the junk bin.

    Quickly or nicely?

This is what can happen if you have never really trusted the yanks. They don't hold the French codes.

Yep good way, Europe is uniting

the French were right about not trusting yanks

    From same article

“Mr Macron has been pushing Europe to hold a debate on the role that French nuclear weapons can play in the Continent’s defence.A diplomat in Berlin said the French offer would increase pressure on Sir Keir to do the same and prove he was serious about contributing to European security.”
“Fighter jets carrying nuclear weapons could be deployed to Germany as the US threatens to withdraw its forces from the Continent.Friedrich Merz, expected to be the next German chancellor after winning his country’s elections on Sunday, has called on Britain and France to extend their nuclear protection as he seeks “independence” for Europe from Donald Trump’s America.A French official told The Telegraph that deploying fighter jets would send a message to Vladimir Putin, while diplomats in Berlin suggested it would pressure Sir Keir Starmerto do the same.”

Trump campaigns on ending the war in Ukraine in 24 hours

One month in the USA votes against ending the war

Why does anyone believe anything he says?

The UN resolution is just utterly insane and to me the most crazy aspect of the Trump regime so far. The fact that the mighty USA has sided with it's arch enemy Russia is something I thought I'd never see.

All signs are Zelensky won't sign unless he gets a serious commitment in that regard

I have been thinking that myself recently in terms of one of the consequences of not being able to trust the US anymore we simply cannot be sharing intelligence with them any more or maybe feed them false intelligence if it comes to some Ukrainian military plans and watch if that gets fed to the Russian dictatorship.

After three years of the full-scale invasion, russia’s land forces have been radically altered by the pressures of carrying out operations in Ukraine. Pre-invasion attempts to build a modern, professional force capable of carrying out complex operations have been reversed by substantial losses. Russia is now reliant on mass over quality to prosecute operations against Ukraine, the UK Defense Intelligence reports.

Russia’s personnel casualties of over 860,000 killed and wounded have undermined russia’s force quality. Most personnel currently serving in the russian military have received minimal training, and russian commanders use basic tactics to make advances, despite the associated high casualty rates.

Now contrast that picture with the Ukrainian Navy dealing with a 240mm Orc heavy mortar through coordination of multiple elements :

There's a lot of catharsis to be had in seeing Trump get corrected like that, but I don't know if the best time for it to happen is when you're trying to convince him to help facilitate a deal to end that war with more equitable terms for Ukraine. The face on Trump after it looked like he was thinking, "Hmm, I wonder if I could rename the 4th of July to 'Fck France and particularly Macron day'?"

Hard to keep up with the world at the mo ,us voting against the un resolution against Russia, first time ,and now rumours of us /russ/(as a poster said earlier) business interests in Ukraine ,must mean us mining in Russia occupied areas of the west of the country ,WTF.

Siding with and co-operating with Russia was not something that Trump mentioned when he was campaigning for President ,,,,,,If people knew back then, what they know now, Trump would never have gotten next or near the oval office…Hindsight being a great thing!!

This is the rare occasion you are wrong.

Trump would still have won. The cult of Trump would still have prevailed. Remember he was already adjudged to have committed sexual assault, a felon… nope, the same preachers and TV personalities would have backed him. Praise Jebus.

No, It wouldn’t have made a blind bit of difference…

During the election when any of his supporters were asked, they all mostly said that Vladimir Putin & Russia was not the enemy, and the enemy was in fact Democrat Muslim Paedophile rings operating out of Washington DC pizza restaurant basements. Of which Zelensky was already a member, or desperately trying to join…

Their guy Trump, well he’s on a mission from God…

Well, if I had been there and my government had instructed me which way to vote, but my heart & head told me to vote another way, my finger might have slipped too.

    😏

A lot of independent voters would not have swung to Trump if they had seen this supplication. I know we saw it at Helsinki but Putin was still half acceptable at that stage. Not many were predicting such blatant one sidedness with regard the conflict . The Natrative was that he was going to be tough on Putin and Zelensky. I had to listen to some scutter in the run up to the election about how he was going to handle Putin like a boss.

is Trump, his various state administrators , all musk’s satalite, etc, companies not doing exactly that and are they therefor also ‘not welcome’ ?

It's very naive to think admitting that would have kept Trump out of office. He is a one man political cult and his followers will accept anything he does while those in his party who disagree are mostly too cowardly to speak out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,574 ✭✭✭rogber

So Macron is saying possible ceasefire within weeks. This can only mean that Russia will be keeping the stolen territory, as i and others have predicted for the last two years. Disgrace, but not surprising. Then what? Sanctions lifted, Russia welcomed back into the international community, switch the gas back on?

And what does Ukraine get in return? A few European peace keepers with no combat experience who are supposed to ensure this never happens again? Their refugees told to leave the EU because it's "peaceful" back home?

It's looking like a grotesque betrayal of Ukraine

was it late 2023 that the war was at a critical injuncture and a package was being organised by Biden to keep the Ukrarmy supplied but because it WAS DELAYED the UKr lost the momentum/initiative and the package eventually started to arrive circa June 2024 . IT WAS HELD UP BY THE REPUBLICANS IN THE HOUSE AT THE BEHEST OF TRUMP.
There is also that the instructions from The US that it did not want its arnaments ending up targeting areas o the Russian mainland and was NOT HAPPY with UKr bombing fuel oil refining/pumping facilities in Russia.

    CONCLUSION

All of the above now makes ‘perfect sence’ given the side that TRUMP/the US is now on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,363 ✭✭✭Field east

That behaviours would be normal for a psychopath

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,815 ✭✭✭Patrick2010

Ukraine is fighting both the US and Russia. Russia wants its land and America wants to take its mineral wealth. Who would ever have thought Russia and America would unite to raid a european country.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,363 ✭✭✭Field east

Macron behaved away beyond my wildest dreams . Out of 10 I would score him a 15 - if that was POSSIBLE.

He gave a MASTERCLASS - especially when it was delivered face to face, in the lion’s den ,with his army of administrator a—e lickers lined up either side and a truckload of the media present that will not call him out on anything

All this Russian agent talk makes sense.

    Is Melania a Russian plant?

    Make America, Putin's.

And Putin's pet project was spreading fascism in western germany through his agents. He got lucky with Trump in the 80's. Now we'll see how this fascist "strongman" project will play out in the US. With Musk's sieg heil and others.

Trump, Putin, Orban, Netanyahu all a fascist alliance.

You'd think people learned enough the last time without bringing this crap back again.

I have no QUALIFICATIONS - even a foundation diploma one- whatsoever in the reading of BODYLANGUAGES. But the body language exuded by Trump was SOOOOOOOOOO obvious that even I did not need one . I am looking forward to some qualified person in that area to do a U TUBE and explain what Trump was saying with each of his ‘poses’
