Lads, it’s as simple as this now.

This United side is the worst I’ve seen since the 80’s.

The players look the same under Amorim as they did under ETH, Ole, Rangnick and the rest.

Completely disinterested and not trying for the shirt on their back.

    This is a disgrace.

Why is onana still being picked?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 295 ✭✭Toranaga

Here it is. Exhibit A that a manager can make a huge difference to an underperforming team in the short term. The Everton players would probably have had a similar "yellow streak" a couple of months ago would they?

This could be a new low, getting spanked by Moyes

Another defensive disgrace. Central defenders with no pace, being bullied.

the lack of physicality across the team is killing us.

    Just another weak, limp performance

Lost for words with how terrible Onana’s keeping is. Amorim is in big trouble.

Onana blocks the initial shot and does well to get to his feet very quickly, but instead of attacking the ball (and having every advantage of being a goalkeeper in doing so) he instead retreats a step or two backwards. That's ridiculous.

The Qatar offer wasn't real. The funds didn't exist. The only real offer was INEOS. Nobody else wanted to buy into this mess

No reactions from Maguire there at all. Stuck in the mud.

We had no identity under Ten Hag, we've even less of an identity under Amorim despite him saying he's sticking to his way of doing things.

Too big a jump from Portugal to Manchester United. He could have done a job at West Ham but this has gotten away from him entirely.

20 year old Dorgu the only one showing anything here.

He hasn’t been at the club long enough for the malaise to infect him.

Having secret agents McKenna & van Nistelrooy positioned to keep us up was a genius move from the club.

How much longer can Amorim sustain this level of mediocrity.

Keep these level of performances up and Amorim won't make the summer

It's the easiest change to make as well.

For a man who chased Rashford out of the club (and rightfully so) why is he so afraid to drop a keeper who keeps chucking them into his own net every week?

Being bullied all over the pitch.

Everton smell blood, this is going to be bad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,093 ✭✭✭Xander10

His comments every week makes it sound like he wants out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,173 ✭✭✭NITRO95

I genuinely have no idea how anyone can watch this and blame the manager? There's 10 adult men on that field embarrassing themselves (I'm leaving out Dorgu) and somehow it's Amorims fault?

    We're an absolute laughing stock.

We deserve to go into half time 3-0 down here. This side would struggle against Leeds.

    Shocking

He actually did interview for the West Ham job and all during the summer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,468 ✭✭✭FrankN1

Because he manages and coaches team maybe?

Not saying it's all on him, but it's at least 50%.

Ten Hag got better performances from them. And we sacked him.

Manchester United 2-0 down to Everton before half time and the world and his dog know we won't even get a single goal back because of how we've performed recently.

    That's all on the coach.

There's no reason why MDL and Maguire should be bullied here. It's just a lack of concentration and effort here. Maguire taking 6 touches and then passing to the back foot really really annoys me.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,811 ✭✭✭DataDude

I like Amorim a lot and think he’s probably a good manager.

There’s just a reality now that you can’t let him spend €500m like ETH did. He had to show something, anything, by summer to build trust with the higher ups and belief in the players. He’s done the opposite. His authority with the players and credibility with senior management will be zero. I don’t see him being manager on first day of next season as crazy as that would have sounded when he was appointed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,093 ✭✭✭Xander10

I thought that was just his agent trying to panic Liverpool into appointing him pre Slot move and he was never going to WHU

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,173 ✭✭✭NITRO95

I backed ETH to the end but it's total recency bias to say he was getting better performances. This is a squad issue. People can blame manager after manager but while this squad remains intact we'll still see performances like this no matter the formation/system/style or whatever else you want to blame
