Did Coldplay really play in the Warwick in Salthill?

The news that the former Warwick site has received permission to construct a nursing home was mentioned on Morning Ireland this morning, along with the now obligatory mention that it had formerly hosted a gig by Coldplay.

The first time I heard that mentioned, when the Warwick was demolished 5 years ago, I thought it surprising that I'd never heard about it before. I'm old enough to have spent many nights in the Warwick in its heyday, and to have been to some very memorable gigs there, but I have no recollection of Coldplay ever being there. Granted, I was living away from Galway when Coldplay were starting out, but the internet was already a thing at that point and I was still aware of most gigs of any significance happening at home.

The earliest mention I can find of Coldplay in the Warwick is from 2019 in this Irish Times nostalgia piece from Conor Pope:

    https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/end-of-an-era-as-landmark-warwick-hotel-in-galway-is-demolished-1.3995492

There's no mention of it on the gigographies on Coldplay fan sites and no one I have spoken to who was actually living in Galway during that period (presumably 1999 to 2001) remembers anything.

Did it really happen or is it another false memory, like the time AC/DC supposedly played in Leisureland?
