I have gone from thinking the US's right to bear arms was tragic foolishness to realising it's an absolute necessity and that Democrats should be buying AR-15's and ammo - while stocks last.
Can anyone really see another 3.95 years of this playing out peacefully?

    US declaration of Independence:

“whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends [life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness], it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government.

“when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”

If someone dies at the age of 80, do people ever go "ah, looks like his lifestyle finally caught up with him…"? Not really. It's a phrase usually reserved for people who die prematurely, i.e. before reaching old age. But Trump is 78. He's already lived beyond the US life expectancy.

Besides, if the best idea for getting rid of Trump is that he dies of arteriosclerosis, then it's not exactly a vote of confidence for liberal democracy and centrist politics.

"Well, we're out of ideas. Let's just hope the burgers kill him."

It sounds the most logical option to me at the moment.

Trump held the Miss World in Moscow. There are lots of rumours. Ask yourself. Would the FSB closely monitor his activities & would he have been susceptible to female advances?

It's hard to imagine that there isn't kompromatt on him.

Gotta be right sometime... Most of your predictions have been slightly wide of the mark!!

I’m hoping it’s just early days and they’re keeping their gunpowder dry- but yes I do feel it could go the way of appeasement - as I said earlier, whatever the cost of supporting Ukraine towards a peaceful and quality and fair solution today, we will suffer multiples of this cost in the future if Europe caves to the Russian Orangeman

Ya but unless he killed on of those women it won't hurt him. All the rumours about unine and scat are nothing compared to the fact he is a convicted sex offender.

Only things that will hurt him now are very young girls or videos of him bottoming for a bunch of dudes.

It's very likely he is just an idiot who is easily led by these far more cunning "strong men". His deal with Kim was utterly useless to everyone except Kim.

Russia is playing Trump big time, he will go down in history books as a moron if he doesn't wise up to their games.

From an an American sums it up

'The fact the UK & The US signed a treaty that promised Ukraine's protection if Russia ever invaded them GETS OVERLOOKED WAY TOO OFTEN! I want to be on the side of history that stood by Ukraine. Since Russia invaded them we must stand by Ukraine & help them fend off this invasion.Seriously.. It's insane to see people online so pridefully talking **** about Ukraine as if they understand something other people don't know? The reality is Ukraine was invaded by Russia, so if you are sympathetic towards Russia, I pretty sure those propaganda tactics worked on you'

Thankfully this “emperor” doesn’t have any clothes on - I’m hoping that Europe and the wider world can see that.

My only concern is China- unfortunately the world needs the US to do battle with China and keep them at arms length - something that’s becoming more difficult - I’d love to see the dissolution of China manufacturing over time - its a price I’d be willing to pay if it meant their economy tanked and they got caught up in their own internal troubles

It was not a treaty was it ? Minsk was a treaty wasn't it, guaranteed by France and Germany accepted by the UN security council and never implemented despite it being legally binding.

    I don’t care that it’s the Daily Mail - I love ❤️ the headline-

    “I won’t sell my Country”

“The Ukrainian President declared that his country is not for sale, disputing Trump's claims that the US has given Ukraine $500billion and calling the suggestion that Kyiv pay this back with a mineral exploration deal 'not a serious conversation.'

'Look, we all want a victory, and we want Trump to win, and we want Ukraine to win, all of us to succeed,' he said. 'But there is nothing clear here... I am protecting Ukraine. I can't sell it away. I can't sell our state.'“

Going off topic here but I've never been convinced junk food is doing as much damage as the health fanatics claim. Life expectancy going up in the west all the time with most people living on ultra-processed muck. My dad and his brother going strong in their 80s, both with massive sweet tooths (although admittedly not so many actual teeth at this stage)…

I think it has to be financial.

Everyone with an internet connection, a reading comprehension above primary school level and an IQ in triple digits already knows that Trump's incontinent, a racist,a rapist, a conman, a sexist, a client of prostitutes, a wife beater, a fan of golden showers and most likely has paedophilc and incestuous tendencies if he hasn't been proven to have followed through on them.

Your suggestion of adding murderer to the list is a bit of a moot point imo. Convicted murderers inspire less hatred in both the general and prison populations.

He's sown enough doubt about media and truth that even if video footage of him raping a five year old girl while being topped by a leather bound twink and urinated upon by Jeffrey Epstein were to be leaked by the Kremlin he'd be able to shrug it off with the expression "fake news" and Musk demonstrating a complete mis-understanding of deep-fakes and AI.

Himself and Musk are behaving as they are because Putin has the power to bankrupt them and, particularly for Trump, being known to be "poor" would be a far bigger insult than any of the above.

Trump: "They should never have started it"

I think this is a muddled statement, badly delivered. I doubt that Trump really meant Ukraine is responsible for this war. What he may have meant is that they should not have started the defensive war and should have made a deal when Russia invaded. I'm not saying they should have made a deal but I think that is what the moron meant.

It looks like history is starting up again.

I'm inclined to say you're wrong. The phrasing aligns so heavily with those who have pushed the line that Russia was feeling intimidated by Ukraine's behavior.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,353 ✭✭✭✭Thelonious Monk

that depends on who's writing the history. his followers think he's the messiah and the smartest man to ever live.

usa are the ones that made arch enemies of russia anyway because they believed in a different economic system to them and tried to influence other countries. this is why they armed ukraine and organised coups and assassinations of leaders leaning towards socialism all over the world in the first place, to keep russia/ussr and their commie ideas at bay. now the country that has made by far the biggest sacrifices against russia are being hung out to dry by uncle sam. it's disgusting.

What a load of apologist bollix. Why can't his supporters and staff just stand by what he says.

If he so smart why after everything thing he says do we get a "well what he actually meant was 😵‍💫". Is this saviour of America not able to speak properly ?

Putin has offered nothing in return for all of Trumps proposals. Nothing!

Trump has even offered to remove all US troops from frontline NATO nations! This is very serious.

Well I know Trump is an idiot but is he THAT stupid? Maybe…

It looks like history is starting up again.

I'd say absolutely plus Putin is in his ear now and likely has been for a while.

Would I be correct in saying that the only morons who actually believe Trump's nonsense about the Ukraine starting the war are the same morons who put him into office?

If so, let him ramble on.

Most of us would be happy to see the back of him, but killing Trump won't kill MAGA. MAGA is a 77 million-strong movement in the US, and growing by all accounts. Trump the martyr would probably be even more useful to the MAGA movement than the living Trump. The grassroots MAGA support is borne out of disenchantment with the American establishment and a belief that the people are the victims of the elite. Murdering Trump, their leader, would just reinforce that belief and make the movement stronger. We're really only 4 weeks into the true MAGA era. It will have to run its course and I think it will take something catastrophic to bring it to an end, such as an economic collapse or severe military setback. Unfortunately for Ukraine, I think that whatever brings it crashing down is many years away.

Lies are their bread and butter. Great people to do 'deals' with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,083 ✭✭✭aidanodr

I truly think the deal by the orange one with the devil has been made. Basically - Let Ukraine go, let Russia have it ALL.

Its personal for trump anyway as is always the case, he does NOT like Zelensky at all over Zelensky's refusal back in the day re Hunter biden. This is payback.

So my prediction - Ukraine will fall in 2025 and Putin WILL advance on former USSR now Nato States .. by then Trump will have pulled out of NATO. Europe militarily is weak as fck so Putin attacking Nato w/o USA will no longer be an issue.
