Park2Travel, even the name is brutal… also seriously, its 2025, could daa not get electric buses rather than the brutal experience of these rubbish diesel we still have to suffer?

Electric buses were ordered a good while back, those short diesels are painted in First UK schemes inside cause that's where they'll be going soon.

Yeah the old quick park buses were very frequent... once every half hour, that won't last long...

They replied to say not to cancel yet(pointed out I can cancel nearer time of departure), that it may change. Used old quickpark all the time, worked very well for me. Of no interest for me as things stand.

You'd walk to the terminal much quicker...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 109 ✭✭Lucan123

Of course if you do wait as they suggested, only to cancel later (after all "may change" usually means it won't), all the other carparks will have shot up in price even more.

If the frequency does increase, you can always cancel the DAA booking and rebook with quick park.

Quikpark was great for contractors working in the airport.
I used it quite a bit for work. 5 euro and the bus was really frequent.
every half hour is a joke, 10 minutes is where the that should be realistically

I think 12 to 25 minutes Is what I'd expect... whatever frequency they can do, with two buses. One thing I liked with quickpark was, it only collected you at ome terminal, the DAA ones love a leisurely drive around the campus...

I’ve waited similar to get to the red car park, it was particularly painful as it was raining and when the bus arrived not everyone could get on.

Without more frequent shuttle times it’s not going to work for a lot of people!

I think they've updated the website now up say every 12

    Screenshot_20250130_092335.jpg

mins. I'm doubting myself though! I can't find the 30 mins anywhere now! I had emailed last night to cancel and they told me to keep an eye on the website, as I said it was due to bus frequency...

Edit: found it in FAQ but they told me on Facebook every 12 mins. Went back with screenshot of FAQ. They said it was an error, thanked me for pointing it out and will update. Funny that they didn't mention this when I emailed them or another boards user above. Might cancel anyway to use discount!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,256 ✭✭✭leex

HURRY20 used just now also. Cost 44.80eur for a Thurs morning to Monday night in July. Official Red was 82.25eur and Blue was 69.75 for exact same period. Competition at last! :)

Just wondering if anyone has used Park & Fly Dublin? Coming in the cheapest for me in March but not sure how reliable the bus frequency is.

Park2Travel is only opening on the 10th which is the day we are travelling and not sure if they will be open at 3am - waiting for them to come back to me!

'Hurry20' worked for me for two bookings today, one in April and another in September, the discount for September's booking was the difference between Park2travel and the Red Car park. Red carpark was €90 and Park2travel was €100 for same dates, but hurry20 brought it down to €80. The April booking was €28 for Red car park and €18 for Park2travel after discount.

Anyone know if P2T have a similar entry time policy as the DAA?

The DAA lets you enter the car park 4 hours prior to your selected entry time on your booking.

The t&c are on the website but I distinctly remember something about extra charges

€8.80 to park in Park2Travel vs €14 in the red car park for a day trip on 1st April. Nice.
