Asbestos

    Hello!

Have an old oil burner I want to replace and had a couple of questions someone might be able to help with :

    • is the flue likely to be made of asbestos concrete?
    • Would the burner itself have an asbestos inside it? ( not sure how old). It seemed to have a crumbling soft material (yellow/ orange) behind the door of the burner when you look inside. Would this have been some form of insulator or just build up?
    • The roof of the shed it is in has corrugated sheeting - grey- old, would they be likely to have asbestos?

I will get a survey done but just wanted to have an idea of what I’m dealing with.

    Thanks.
