We just need to focus on ourselves, Arsenal will have much harder games than Leicester to play. 3 points tomorrow and it's a healthy lead going into two tough away games.

the usual “Arsenal were always going to win “ AFTER they win then it wil be “ it was always going to be a tough match for Liverpool “ AFTER they draw 😂

No change from Wednesday after that Arsenal result, if we're relying on them dropping points to the likes of this Leicester side to win the league tour we're already fvcked.

I can't see Merino driving their title challenge as a CF, regardless of his goals today. In fact, it could go against Arsenal, they'll expect him to score every game now, he'll probably start next time now.

I can never understand what you are trying to say.

    Arsenal were heavy favorites today

    Very true.

Salah and Gakpo to a lesser extent are carrying the threat alone.

The only thing we really need to worry about is the officials, it's unreal you can't question them, there needs to be a totally independent body they answer to, not Howard Webb who defends the indefensible

VAR: ''Checking.. checking. hold hold, checking... can confirm money has entered bank account. Check complete check complete'' 😡

Gordon over Kai pedro- why would you want to sell jota and bring in another injury basket case

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,414 ✭✭✭Ottoman_1000

Not only does Pedro get injured a lot, it seems to take him a while to get back to form on the back of each injury. Great player no doubt, but not worth the risk.

I think Gakpo is out for tomorrow so Diaz gets back on the left I assume and can hopefully repay Slot some of the faith he has shown in him.

Hopefully Trippier plays in the final - he's a level beyond brutal at this stage. City certainly signed a fella who can actually finish.

thankfully city are too far back to challenge

Hopefully they'll be tired after going to Madrid during the week. We shouldn't fear them, they've been shown up many times this year.

Just need to win the next one. Everyone needs to step up now.

Wasn't that in the champions league along time ago.

FA guidance on touchline suspensions states: “The manager cannot position themselves in or behind the area of the dugout, or any barrier adjacent to the touchline or goal line.” This is done to prevent them from communicating directly with the players during the match. However, the manager can give a pre-match team talk, they can be in the dressing room at half-time, and they can pass on information for their assistants to relay during the game.

Arsenal fan here, not having a go but the only thing that keeps the reffing as bad as it is, is that fans of clubs only react to their own clubs getting screwed over officials.

When it happens to others it’s “stop moaning”

No clubs should be accepting this level of officiating and should be collectively complaining about it. Then something might be done. One club getting hard done by every week and being left on their own will never change anything.

Scary that they can have one day when it clicks though, and we all know they'll have that day with us too

My comment was made after they went 1-0 up. I've watched their last few games and they are looking very tired and devoid of attacking threat. Of course it's football and anything can happen but I really can't see them going on a long run of wins.

Not a great week for Liverpool so far but I won't get nervous unless we fail to win tomorrow. If that happens then we're most definitely in blip territory.

I also don't think city are 100% out of this yet. I've no doubt the top three will be Liverpool arsenal and city but in what order. Looking at the fixtures this month is critical Villa/City/Newcastle is some threeo of matches. First things first let's beat wolves tomorrow.

if they can just get through the next 3 games, they’re into a nice rest period and will have Saka and Martinelli back. Still a big threat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,565 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

I doubt we see Saka until April at least

We win tomorrow they're 16 points behind ffs. City lost only last game out 5 1 to Arsenal. They aren't challenging for the league, I'd be surprised if they hit 80 points this year

They actually already have a light schedule which really mitigates some of their recent injuries. They just returned from a sun trip in Dubai, played today against the 2nd worse defence in the league and will be favourites to win at home after a week off vs a poor West Ham team. Forest away in their only tricky game since city 2nd Feb who they got outta way just in time before new signings came in or got some game time to get up to speed.

Wolves a home tomorrow is a game we simply have to win tomorrow and hopefully we will. Much more concerned about the Villa away game being brought forward . Instead of a vital week break before City we are forced to push player fitness to the max with another tough away game in a week so we’ll be as tired as City come Sunday week and have to play against vs Newcastle 3 days later . City unfortunately looks a different proposition to the team that lost 5-1 with Gonazlez /Mamoush so I hope I’m wrong but see real threat of dropped points in next week.

City have shown they can go on runs that could in theory mean they could challenge. Would you have guessed they'd beat Newcastle 4 nil on recent form? I certainly didn't. Things change quickly in football but as I said the next 4 games will decide our season.

There's plenty of twists and turns left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,565 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

So City will go on a run because they've been impressive for one game, lost at home mid week and got hammered by Arsenal just before that. I'm nervous for the game against them but not remotely about them challenging for the title.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,414 ✭✭✭Ottoman_1000

City won't come within 10 points of the title.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,746 ✭✭✭893bet

the only say city will have in the title is the match against Liverpool. Thats its.
Still on a knife edge but ours to lose.

    Next three weeks define it.

It's comical to think that City are in the title race, Even most 'Neutrals' think that in fairness
