    [2024 Thread]

I'm making this thread now as I'll be away tomorrow for Xmas and Hogmanay, so I won't be at my computer to make it in time :)

Anyway, NEW YEAR, NEW LIST OF GAMES TO BEAT and A SHINY NEW THREAD TITLE

Feel free to post your final 2024 list of beaten games!!

My list grew a small bit from last year, and wanted to beat more games, but I recently upgraded my GPU and have been just messing around with that most of the latter part of the year, playing around with games I originally couldn't run well so I got a bit distracted. I don't know if I'll ever beat 50+ games again (unless I find another retro arcade fighter series to plough through merrily)

    My list is pictured below

    image.png

Bloodborne was a personal highlight for me as I started that game way back when it launched and I shelved it once I hit the half-way point for whatever dumb reason. Went back to it this year and finally beat it.

Out of the list of games I've beaten I'd say my absolute favourite/most fun I had with, was Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, closely followed by the OG FFVII which I beat shortly after - first time I ever beat it.

    With that said

GET YOUR BEATEN GAMES NOTED DOWN AND THROW THEM UP HERE FOR 2025!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    42. Batman: Return of the Joker (GB)
    43. Batman (GB)
    44. Echo Night Beyond (PS2)
    45. Ninja Gaiden Shadow (GB)

Best game I played in 2024:

Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer (DS)

The main game is a wonderful rogue-like but it's the post game dungeons where the game has fun with it's own mechanics is where it really shines. Could not put this game down.

    Honorable Mentions:

    Kirby's Adventure (NES)

    Elite Beat Agents (DS)

Metal Slug: 2nd Mission (Neo Geo Pocket Colour)

    Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (PS2)

    Radiant Silvergun (Saturn)

    Resident Evil 7 (PC)

    Warioware Twisted (GBA)

Worst game I played in 2024:

    Poinie's Poin (PS2)

A strange game that never quite got to grips with it's own mechanics. Tried to get by by being quirky but it was just infuriating.

    Dishonorable mentions:

    Princess Maker Refine (PC)

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories (PC)

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (PC)

    Haunted Castle (Arcade)

    Michigan: Report from Hell (PS2)

Weirdo game that deserves more attention:

    Steambot Chronicles (PS2)

I'd kill for the cancelled PS3 sequel.

    Nicest Surprise:

    Armored Core (PS1)

Another From Software oldie I heard nothing but complaints about but turns out it was a wonderful game with a deeply dystopian setting.

    Game: Timesplitters

    Platform: PlayStation 5

Saw that the Timesplitters trilogy was on sale today so I decided to pick em up.

Hadn't played any of these games in a long time. I don't think the original has aged particularly well but I won't hold it against it as the sequel is much better.

I guess if you ever enjoyed Goldeneye or Project Dark, these might interest you.

    Favorite game

    Baldurs gate 3 / FF7 rebirth

What can I say that already has not been said for Baldur's gate a masterpiece. So much player agency in it very long though and struggled on ps5.

FF7 is definitely is nostalgia and bias and it was WAY too long though over 140 hours. But even playing it, its amazing to think it exists.

    Disappointment of the year

    Spider man 2

Not technically a bad game but I felt that it was a bit messy come the end and was more of the same. Felt the narrative threads were all over the place.

    Surprise of the year

    The Operator

Cool indie game which is basically work the simulator, thought the idea of it was very cool and execution as well.

Currently have around 40 hours in Metaphor:Refantazio and that will hopefully be my first game of 2025 amazing so far I have totally drunk the coolade with it.

    1. Ty The Tasmanian Tiger [Xbox]

    Ty the Tasmanian Tiger

Great game it's my third time to play it. Played the original back on the GameCube years ago and then got it on steam a few years back and then 100%'d it again now on Xbox.

    26. Call of Duty Black Ops (PC)
    27. Bluey (Xbox)
    • Best game of year:
      • Red Dead Redemption 2. Probably my best game of all time. Tempted to go back to it again.
    • Worst game of year:
      • None, any game I finished was fun in some manner, I wouldn't say any was the worst. I did have some games that were for grinding to get xbox achievements (which aren't needed anymore with the change to their rewards programme), so they were less fun (e.g. Bluey).
    • Biggest surprise:
      • McPixel 3. I knew nothing about this game, needed something for rewards and tried this. Really enjoyed it. So dumb.

    2025 list:

    1. The case of the golden idol (Xbox): A point and click puzzle game. Originally started it in late 2024 to tick the box for the xbox achievements, but I really enjoyed this. I added the 2 DLCs (The Spider of Lanka and The Lemurian Vampire), and finished these off last night. The DLC wasn't as good, and some of the puzzles were overly complicated to the point of relying on guesswork, but the main game was excellent with a quirky humour too. There is a sequel to the game (The Rise of the Golden Idol) which I believe is free on mobile with Netflix, so I'll have to take a look at that.

    2025 so far

Mass Effect 1 - second full playthrough. Shooting is kinda ganky but story is great with some decent twists and turns.

Mass Effect 2 - again second playthrough. Probably still my favorite of the trilogy with the sheer amount of work required to get through the suicide mission, there are a few missions that feel a little like busywork but not many in all fairness. Couple of characters could have prob been dropped or fleshed out a bit more but overall it's a great experience and the suicide mission itself has you on edge as to whether you have made the right choices or not.

Onto Mass Effect 3 now, great to have the legendary edition with all of them plus DLC included… not sure I'll round things out with Andromeda though, I remember not getting into it half as much as the original trilogy and of course nobody can replace Shepard!

    2. Spider-man Remastered (PC/Steamdeck): I played this on the PS4, but really enjoyed this playthrough on the steam deck. Ran perfectly most of the time and the gameplay is great. Swinging around New York is very satisfying. The voice cast here is excellent too. Played the 3 DLC stories too (Under the banner of The City that Never Sleeps). Moving onto Miles Morales game now.
    3. The Rise of the Golden Idol (Android): This is the sequel to the case of the golden idol and I really enjoyed this too. It's free on Android if you have a Netflix account and playing this on a tablet was a much better experience than playing the first on Xbox. The first game is also on Android via Netflix games, so I'd go that route if you want to play either. Like the first, there is a quirk sense of humour and there is an overall story tying the various scenarios together. Also like the first, some of the puzzles are so complication that you kind of have to just guess, but it's good fun all the same.

    2024 list

    Hogwarts Legacy
    Assassin's Creed Mirage
    A Little to the Left
    Super Mario Bros. Wonder
    Botany Manor
    Star Wars Jedi Survivor
    Chants of Sennaar
The Case of the Golden Idol
    Dungeons of Hinterberg
    Super Mario 3D World
    Bowser's Fury
The Rise of the Golden Idol
    Spiderman: Miles Morales
    Kena: Bridge of Spirits
    Dave the Diver
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

My favourite game of the year would be Super Mario Bros. Wonder followed by Chants of Senaar. Now onto 2025…

    1. Astro Bot: Can't remember the last time I had this much fun gaming. The sound effects and dualsense through the controller is brilliant. Will be hard to beat for my favourite game played this year. 10/10
    2. Star Wars Outlaws: I enjoyed the story but the combat lets it down. I was doing the side missions for a while but then just did the main story to get it over with. Not a patch on the likes of KOTOR which is ancient now 7/10

    1. Cyberpunk 2077 (PS5)

Have been mostly giving my thoughts on the CP2077 thread so will keep it brief here, but what a fantastic game. Difficult to get into at the start and has taken me a few tries over the years, but once you get through the start and get a bit more freedom to form your own build and playstyle, it's an absolute joy. Not without it's niggles (I'll never be a fan of first person games which have parkour or a lot of quick movement), but you can definitely see how they simplified a lot of the systems in the game to allow for more freedom and fun.

The game looks and plays fantastic for the most part, and the city is beautiful at times. The story (both main game and dlc) is really enjoyable with some great performances (Idris Elba in the DLC in particular), and while Keanu's Johnny Silverhand can be blasé and aloof a lot of the time, the moments where you really connect with him he turns in a great performance. A lot of the supporting characters are a lot of fun too (loved my text chats with Takamura).

So yeah, if the game had launched like this (even without the DLC), man the impact this game would have had would have been incredible. It'll always be tarnished with how it launched, and largely rightfully so because it was a sh*tshow, but the work they've put in to getting the game to the state it's currently in should also be praised.

I put about 80 hours into it and completed pretty much everything I could, and enjoyed pretty much every second of it.

    1. Wizardry Variants Daphne

    Wizardry Variants Daphne

This game seems to have had a troubled development, releasing months after the proposed date thanks to issues with COVID. What did eventually come out might be the best dungeon crawler in years but with some teething issues.

Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way, this is a mobile Gacha game. However, I can assure people that the Gacha elements aren't pushed on the player and it's perfectly playable without any monetary investment. There's a wonderful game here that can be enjoyed by anyone as a single player RPG.

On the other hand it's still a gacha game and some of the annoyances with gachas are present. There's an emphasis on loot. The underlying system are rather simple but there a heap of abstraction that makes understanding them difficult. There three currencies as well although this game at least differentiates them well. There's help online with systems you might not understand and the game isn't mean or makes monetary investment mandatory.

Now to the actual game. Once a century the Abyss opens, a hellhole that spews out monsters and 'warped ones' on to the world. Each time the ruler with a lineage to the royal bloodline has ventured into the abyss and closed it, as only the king can close the abyss. This time however the warped ones have gotten smart and kidnapped the King, the one person that can close the abyss.

If you don't know, Wizardry is one of the oldest RPGs and has influenced pretty much every game you play. It's an old school hardcore dungeon crawler. Daphne manages to be a modern take on the series yet also a very modern one. It manages to please both old school fans and newcomers to the genre.

Wizadry is well known for its difficulty and Daphne lives up to that reputation. Each dungeon dive feels dangerous. Resources are expensive. MP and special attacks are limited. Every enemy encounter has the potential to get out of hand and result in a party wipe of you can't wipe them out quick enough. The game will warn but not stop you entering areas with high level enemies. On top of that there's permanent death for the characters in your party and the costs of resurrection are pretty steep.

Permadeath might sound rough in a gacha game but the game is tough but not mean. You have a chance to bring back characters when they fall. There's a chance a character will die when resurrecting in a temple but only if their "fortitude stat" is less than 50 and the game warns you to just wait until it's higher as it increases over time even when dead. If you lose a character it's your own fault for being impatient. The game also allows you to resurrect three times and repeat a battle.

Speaking of battles, the battle system is fantastic. There's no random battles in the game. Enemies will walk around dungeon and encounters start when you tough them. They are invisible but if you pass a perception test you can see or hear the enemies in your vicinity. Battles take place in traditional wizardry turn based fashion. However there is a FFX turn order always visible and you have lots of abilities it slow down or interrupt this turn order. There's a big emphasis on stat buffs and debuffs and it's overall ab excellent system full of strategy, risk and reward.

The presentation is the standout here. The game really sells the bleak "Berserk" esque dark fantasy tone. Stories and side stories never have a happy ending, bittersweet is the best you can hope for. It's a gorgeous looking game for a mobile with some wonderful art direction and particularly enemy design. The game takes place entirely in first person. There's small little interactions with your team mates during the game and battles that really gets you attached to your party. A little tap on the shoulder and word of encouragement from them after a battle goes a long way. Special mention must go to the soundtrack by the legendary Hitoshi Sakimoto.

Currently there two story scenarios to complete with another promised for February. The first is the "Beginning Dungeon". This has you journey into the abyss with a band of knights to rescue the king from the Greater Warped one. Along the way the band of knights are unceremoniously picked off and the tension rises with each floor. This story scenarios is absolutely fantastic and a brilliant intro to the game and world. Completing the dungeon leads to a shocking ending but also introduces the mechanic on the "Cursed Wheel" where you can take different paths to mission and sub missions and lead to different outcomes based on your knowledge of what will happen. It's a fun mechanic but seems to give the devs nightmares as its been a bit buggy although most have been fixed at this stage.

Finishing the first scenario opens up a world map of side content and a new story mission set in a new Port Town. The whole port area seems to have been swallowed by the abyss and there's a ship in port running a deadly tournament that promises to grant the winner any wish they may have. This scenario does some interesting stuff with the flooded waterways and has a lot of flooded areas where the merpeople enemies can be extremely deadly. It doesn't make as good a use of the cursed wheel as the first scenario though and it's quite difficult, particularly the first boss. There's a few bugs as well that need to be ironed out.

Before I end I'd just like to mention the paid for content in this game and gachas in general. It's kind of insane how pricey they are. Everything just seems wildly expensive. I decided to give the devs some money but everything was over priced. Not o my that but a lot of it was paying for a chance of getting something decent. It's about 35 euro for 10 character pulls. I eventually settled for some armour I needed and didn't get the stuff I wanted and a spell upgrade that contributed about 5% to getting the next level of a spell.

Anyway already you can safely ignored that Gacha nonsense and there's a great game here although I'd still throw the devs some money, I got well over 60 hours out of this game I imagine.

    1. Wizardry Variants Daphne (Mobile)
    2. Spiderman (2018) (PC)

    Spiderman

Normally this is the kind of game I'd avoid like the plague. A Sony/ubi monogames with Arkham style combat. However I heard this was a bit shorter than most, I like spiderman, I'd just watched the amazing Across the Spiderverse and it was going cheap on steam. And yes, this is very much what I expected of it and while I would say it's amazing, I did enjoy it more than I expected.

Spiderman has more in common with Arkham City than your usual monogame. The open world is smaller and more compact but that also means the developers have packed in some incredible detail. New York is well realized and it's fun to explore and come across famous landmarks where they are supposed to be. It's a very good looking game and the PC port is superb, Nixies did an amazing job here.

The highlight of the game are the traversal mechanics. Insomniac really nailed the feeling of being spiderman, taking inspiration from the spiderman 2 game but adding their own spin on traversal.

The combat takes a lot of inspiration from the Arkham games. Just like the Arkham games the stealth works extremely well but the hand to hand combat not so much. I really wish the focus was more on the stealth than fighting as it works so much better. Saying that, the combat is an improvement over Arkham. You don't teleport to enemies and instead need to zip over to them with a move that feels like the stinger from devil may cry. There's a bit more variety in your moves and the web mechanics work well. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot to the combat other than doing the same moves for each enemy type and it gets old well before the end of the game.

The game also throws in some stealth sections with MJ and Miles but these feel very scripted and are very weak.

I liked the this game's take on Spiderman. He's a total dork and played very well that way with his jokes and quips being amusingly lame. The story takes a while to get going but the final third is excellent, especially the villain reveal the game was leading up to and it has a surprisingly poignant ending. And while I still felt the game was a little too long with a lot of side missions that were repetitive, it was a hell of a lot shorter than other games of its type and its all the better for it.

    Metaphor:ReFantazio

Finished this last week, took me around 80 hours and over 2 months. I always say I shy away from long RPGs but this was atlus in top form. Loved it, the twists combat etc. You lose your sense of time playing this.

Currently playing the OG Ninja gaiden black on chapter 9 at the moment on my series x its great. I originally got it when I was 12 but found it too difficult. I am making good headway with it now.

    GAME: Dynasty Warriors: Origins

    PLATFORM: PlayStation 5

    Wow... just wow.

Been a fan of the entire franchise since I was 12 and I haven't once been this happy with a DW game since 3, despite the fact I thought 8 was the best one.

This may have topped it for me. They absolutely nailed it, and my fears were completely eradicated after the shitshow that was DW9. They done a terrific job with this one.

The combat is the best it's ever been, and the scale of the battles is fantastic.

Absolutely loved this game. Early days but so far this has been my GOTY. At the very least it's the best game I've played this month.

    1. Wizardry Variants Daphne (Mobile)
    2. Spiderman (2018) (PC)
    3. Track & Field (Arcade)

    Track & Field

Was playing this for the arcade and retro high score challenge and ended up being so good at it I accidentally clock it. Track & Field is an arade game that has you compete in 6 athletic events. The events are 100m, long jump, javelin throw, 100m hurdles, hammer throw and high jump. Passing the qualification threshold of each event let's you continue to the next one. The series would see numerous ports and sequels, although the last one I remember was a DS game. The PS1 game was quite a popular early game on the system and really good.

Each event has easy enough controls to get to grips with but mastery of each event isn't so easy. Buttons need to be mashed to gain speed and timing needs to be perfect otherwise you'll incur a foul.

Track & Field is one of those all time classic arcade games were it's easy to pick up and play, hard to master and endlessly challenging if you are going for high scores. One of the all time greats.

    2025 so far:

    Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3

Mass Effect Andromeda - had completely forgotten the plot of this story so it drew me in. Some aspects of the game make it inferior to the original trilogy, I think they were perhaps banking on a follow up game with loads of questions left unanswered. Really enjoyed the terraforming aspect mind you, the various worlds you have to settle are decently varied to keep it interesting. Ending is quite rushed though and doesn't really hit the mark.

Killer Frequency - Cleared this in one evening looking for a short game to whet the pallet. Quite enjoyed the puzzle solving aspect of this but probably wouldn't replay it. Definitely a different concept for a game though.

    Sniper Elite V .

Ive played everyone of this series. Im a big fan , i love the stealth, and sniping from distance , rather than the Spray and pray type….

A bit short? 9 Missions, but plenty scope ( pun intended) to get the little extras (shooting the stone eagle, collecting letters etc) to extend your playtime.

The latest version "Resistance" - based in France has also been released.

    1. Cyberpunk 2077 (PS5)

    2. Nine Sols (PS5)

An absolute joy to play (for the most part anyway). A 2D metroidvania with Sekiro-style combat sprinkled with a bit of Cuphead in the boss fights, yet it all works together pretty seamlessly. Enough buffs and different skills/abilities to let you adapt to different enemies/bosses, while still retaining that Sekiro feeling of defending and parrying until it's the perfect time to strike for big damage.

The art style and environments are really crisp and distinctive. It never holds your hand, and at times, it'll really punish you. But as with all such games, the feeling of getting that final strike on a boss or even just when you're in a good flow and hitting all your parries right… it's magical.

Not for the faint of heart, and some bits frustrated me to the point where I was just more glad to have gotten over it rather than happy I achieved something, but for the time you put into the game, the majority of it is excellent.

    Ninja Gaiden Black

Got the original Ninja Gaiden on Xbox as a present from my brother when I was 12 but never managed to beat it as it was too difficult. Saw it on sale there recently and via the hype of Ninja Gaiden black 2 I thought I would give this a whirl.

Glad I did I think the biggest enemy was the camera. Was also a bit cathartic beating it as my brother has since passed, so it was nice to get round to finally finishing all be it 20 something years later.

    4. Call of Duty - Black Ops 2 (Xbox): Towards the end of last year I played Black Ops 6 which I really enjoyed so I decided to go back and play the older titles. I enjoyed Black Ops 1 too, but boy did I not like this game. The story is split between the past and future (although the future was 2025, so we are the future now) and I just didn't enjoy it. I didn't care about the story and I found the mechanics a little bit clunky. I don't know, just wasn't for me. I have started Black Ops 3 now (I picked up both games at same time in CEX) and it seems better, so I'll probably play through that next.

    2025 so far:

    Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3

    Mass Effect Andromeda

    Killer Frequency

The Plucky Squire - downloaded this two nights ago as another short term fix. Pretty much a Zelda (Link to the Past style) knock-off in almost every way but that's no bad thing. The narration is fine, some nice moments but very very wordy at times too (though you can change that in the settings). The segueing from 2D to 3D is cool but it does overstay it's welcome, particularly in the final part when I couldn't wait to be done (honestly, do they really need to repeat the annoying minigames a second time, and three sneaking ones, really? One was plenty!)

I did like the parts with the rocket and the final battle in 3D is kinda fun if a little infuriating that you basically have to do the same thing three times. Won't be rushing back to it again but it was grand.

    1. Wizardry Variants Daphne (Mobile)
    2. Spiderman (2018) (PC)
    3. Track & Field (Arcade)
    4. Ace Combat 6 (XBox 360)
    5. Mars after Midnight (Playdate)

    Ace Combat 6

This one rattled a few feathers on release. A previous PlayStation only series getting an Xbox exclusive entry.

AC6 is pretty much the same excellent Ace Combat gameplay from the PS2 games but with a next gen shine. It looks a lot nicer with some much higher resolution ground textures and the volumetric cloud effects are pretty remarkable for the system. All running at a silly smooth 60FPS which was a rarity in this generation.

The extra power of the 360 isnt just used to make the game look nicer. AC6 focuses on you taking part in operations that dwarf the scale of any mission in the older games. Each mission has a massive ground and air war taking place with multiple objectives for you to complete. It's a bit of a double edged sword. The massive battles are spectacular. On the other hand these missions are way longer than in any other ace combat games and it can lead you to losing huge amounts of time if you die before a checkpoint.

The story unfortunately is a bit of anime melodrama. It follows various people involved in the both sides of the war. It never really hits the emotional highs of the PS2 games. The soundtrack is also a bit weaker here although there is one mission where you finally gain a foothold old the main continent and a musical sting hits that was quite effective.

Overall, not the best Ace Combat games but still great and worth a play. It's a pity you have to track down an expensive physical copy to play it now.

    Mars after Midnight

I was quite disappointed with this one. This should have been a home run, a Lucas Pope game on everyone's favourite hipster console with a crank.

The game has you running a late night community support group for martians. It makes great use of the Playdate's quirky controls and looks excellent with some really unique art work.

My main issue is that it plays like a watered down papers please. It's too easy and there is an element of money management but you are never in danger of running out of money.

I understand that Lucas Pope made this game more for children to enjoy and I can see it being a hit with that audience. I just expected a bit more from the creator for papers please and obra dinn.

    Games Beaten 2025

    1. Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door (Switch)
    2. Pokemon Emerald Legacy (GBA)
    3. Metroid Dread (Switch)
    4. Oxenfree (Switch)
    5. Super Mario RPG (Switch)
    6. Yakuza 6 (PS4)

Living my best life, video games are great and Yakuza series is strangely one of the coziest gaming experience you're ever likely to come across. 6 isn't even one of the more complete ones either.

    Still wakes the deep

A horror walking simulator liked the VA in it with the regional UK and Irish accents. It even has a scottish gaelic option aswell. I enjoyed it was short and sweet set on an oil rig with the Thing kinda horror in it. Wouldn't be for everyone though not much gameplay in it but enjoyable story.

Trying to get through 2 games a month this year if possible, backlog and all those 1st world problems. Anyhow, so far so good…

Indiana Jones & the Golden Circle (Series X) - part story game, part action adventure. You can stealth it up or you can hand to hand combat with a shovel. Not forgetting your whip. A real fun experience that captures the atmosphere of the early Indy films well.

Alan Wake remastered (PS5) - played in advance of getting stuck into the sequel. Abandoned it a few years ago due to frustrating & tedious combat with the jankiness but wanted to revisit for the story and atmosphere. The best way to experience same is on easy mode. Combat still not great but manageable (definitely worth running from some enemies to next checkpoint when you can rather than fighting them all), and enjoyable experience overall despite the jank. The DLCs are worth playing too, one of which is a spiritual predecessor to developers later game Control.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 (Series X) - despite playing the Judgment games when they came out the main Yakuza series passed me by. After playing 0 & 1 late last year I'm firmly now in Yakuza games are amazing camp! 2 doesn't disappoint either. More of the same. That is more of the same zany-action-weird-and-hell-of-a-lot-of-fun goodness.

Open Roads (Series X) - was looking for a palete clenser after some bigger games so though I'd give this a go, looked to have Life is Strange vibes. It doesn't. The story didn't grab me in at all, atmosphere/setting/music were weak, and if it wasn't for such a short playtime (around 2 hours) I'd have given up on it. Wouldn't recemmend this one.

    Ninja Gaiden 2 Black

This isn't as transformative a release as the original NG Black but it's a big improvement on the disappointing Sigma release but is missing the absolute insanity of the original game.

There's not a lot that has changed here. NG2 still has all the good and bad points of the original release. The combat engine is still one of the greatest of all time with Ryu Hayabusa feeling fluid while hits feel wonderfully satisfying. The variety in weapons and the addition of the obliteration technique enhance the already incredible combat engine of the first game.

On the other hand, the original Ninja Gaiden 2 was a rushed release with the level design and boss fights taking a massive downgrade to the original. Levels are just long corridors I territory by fights and it can get exhausting unlike the perfectly paced original game.

But it's a testament to that combat engine that the game still manages to hold up. Fights are kinetic ballets of gore and viscera and I could do the Inazuna Drop all day long.

    X Y X X X Y *chef's kiss*

Heard about this on a gaming podcast and I love Xcom and Shadowrun. Really enjoyable combat using tactical magic and dry sense of British humour.
