Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Max on PPPoE

Has anyone here tried the Cloud Gateway Max on a PPPoE FTTH connection? If so, what sort of speed do you get?

I'm on Digiweb and using the Fritz 7530 that they provided, but I was looking for something that supports VLAN tagging on the LAN side. I already have a UniFi setup so was considering a Ubiquiti router, but I've read numerous reports that they struggle to maintain gigabit speeds over PPPoE, which is something the Fritz can easily do. Something to do with the PPPoE being processed in software.

I'm open to other router or firewall suggestions too. I don't need Wi-Fi so once it can do VLAN tagging and can handle a gigabit connection, I'm happy enough.

I have the Cloud Gateway Ultra which is rated for less throughput. Around the time of the update to Unifi OS 4 and related Network application update they seem to have improved the throughput for me on Vodafone SIRO. Previously was struggling to break 700Mbps or so with IDS/IPS on but since then its been getting 900Mbps+ fairly consistently.

Thanks! I decided to take the plunge based on your post. I ended up getting the Gateway Max rather than the Cloud Gateway Max, because the latter wasn't in stock (and seems it hasn't been for a while) unless you get it with a 512GB SSD, which I found a bit unnecessary. The only real difference between them is the lack of a controller, but I have one in a VM anyway so it doesn't really matter.

I ordered it yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning around 7:45, can't fault the delivery at all. Just got it hooked up and initial tests look good.
