Sonos Sub Mini recommendations

Hi there, I have been toying with getting a Sonos Sub Mini to complement my Beam gen 2, and my 2 x Sonos One SLs that I have as rear surrounds. It's in the sitting room, 6m x 5m. 50% TV, 50% music (metal, folk, and a dose of bassy funky beats). There's a 2 year old sleeping in a room 18m away so nighttime likely can't be too intense. Some questions -

    • Is the current price the best it's gonna get?
    • They don't seem to be interested in renewing or refreshing/upgrading to a new generation of the Mini, like they've done with all their other products. Is that a sign of something?
    • Sub Gen 3 or 4 seems like overkill for my use?

    Many thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Mcljot.

    Thanks for the post.

The Sub mini would be a nice addition to your setup.
I use the mini at home with my beam and Play 1 x2 as rears.

There is no info if there will be a replacement on the Sub Mini as of yet. The Gen 3 ran for 4 years before it was upgraded.
The mini so far has only been released for around 2 years.

The gen 3 or 4 would be over kill.
