[Admin required] Soccer warning

Hi, I got a warning in soccer for referencing something the manager of the team who's thread it was said last week.

It wasn't a response to anyone and wasn't anything other than referencing the quote that the manager made in his post match press conference.

This was following a loss where a lot of players played badly. Ruben Amorim had said that he would not play anyone who wasn't putting in the maximum effort in training and he would play Vital the goalkeeping coach instead of anyone who wasn't.

My post, while obviously being sarcastic

"These are all players giving the maximum in training too. I wonder if Vital is busy. "

Not engaging anyone, merely referencing the quote. I have been warned basically for my username and not the post.

The previous warnings that I've received over this season are also a bit silly but this one is ridiculous.

Hi Liam O, I will take a look at this.

Have you been in contact with the Mod in question and if so please furnish the PM exchange here or via PM.

Only could clip it to include all in one image to there but can PM the rest. The dismissal straight to C-mod and admin without discussion is not something that normally would happen so I'd be wondering if there's something in the background. Please note the other previous soft warnings I've got, none have which have been for abuse, just for ways of expressing opinions another mod didn't like.

Thanks for the PM's yesterday, I've read through them and the thread in question - particularly the Topic of Rashford that you were heavily involved in - which related Directly to your post that was Warned.

The Mod in question was correct to issue a Warning for your post as it most certainly Baiting and your Ban will remain. '...so I'd be wondering if there is something in the background' - As such, I can clearly see why, after telling you again why you received the Warning, they said for you to go to DRP as it was clear to them.

You used that quote by the manager, which he used in reference to not playing Rashford again. It is Abundantly clear to Everyone in that thread what your opinon on Rashford is and as such has to be taken into account when you posted you post - following a loss.

It is most certainly an attempt to Bait others.

You do not need to Mention any poster in question.

You do not need to Quote any particular poster.

It was posted with one thing in mind and both that Mod and I would view it as Baiting. Indeed a few days previous the same Mod had to issue a few Warnings and put a Mod Note on that same thread, so they were well aware of how the thread was running at that time.

You believing it is Personal is way off mark too I might add.

You mostly post in the Man U thread and I only view it when looking at Reported Posts or DRP's in this case. I'm pretty sure the Mod in question is an Arsenal fan and doesn't post much there either - outside of Mod Notes obviously.

I might also add that the very same Mod reversed one of your Soccer Warnings a few months ago, so 'I've been warned because of my username' is ridiculous in my view.

I also note some of the comments Mods have placed on your previous Warnings. It does read like you did not follow their advice when you posted your post.

While it may not be what you wanted, I hope it was processed in a more timely manner than what you thought it would be.

Let me know if you would like an Admin to take a look please.

I appreciate you taking the time to look at this. It's nothing to do with Necro I think they are just being pushed from elsewhere to jump on anything that can be twisted to warn me. Another mod when I reported abuse basically said that it was warranted and warned me for it previously so I am a bit suspicious to be honest. The thread seems to be moderated in a way where inferences on posts like mine are jumped on and outright charter breaking is let go.

The warning you referenced was based on something that I was called. Something I was called in 3 or 4 posts before and not actioned despite reporting.

Yes I think an admin should take a look as tbh I think it's ridiculous and it's using absolutely no context that it was after a loss and was calling out the players based on what the manager said the previous week. Look at the follow up post where someone quoted me and I said "just like the players".

Also my previous thread in here below was marked resolved despite my follow up questions. They should probably look at that too. I've now received a ban for saying "on here" and paraphrasing the managers quotes from the week before immediately after a disappointing loss.

Edit: who exactly was I baiting is the main question I would like answered. I'm not responding to anyone or engaging any previous posts. Was a throwaway line if anything.

The thread is Moderated by several Mods and Reported Posts are actioned by any Soccer Mod, including myself too. I really don't see how a Mod would 'be pushed from elsewhere'. Given the extended Rashford trait that the thread previously had and the confrontational manner in which it had gotten to - leading to accusations, uncivility, quite a few Reported Posts, a few warnings a Mod Note - your post was Baiting anyone from the thread to be honest. As I mentioned, it was not directed at any one particular poster, it doesn't have to be.

I will ask for an Admin to take a look for you.

I was in the immediate aftermath of a loss with a lot of lethargic performances and it was questioning the players who the manager said previously were all giving the maximum in training.

Anyone else makes that post and it's not a warning I don't think. As I said before my warnings have gone up exponentially in the last year compared to previous 13-14 years on the site, I don't think I've changed my style and yet now I get accused of all sorts because my opinion on one player goes against the majority who get personal quickly.

    Hi @Liam O ,

I've reviewed this. Your post is obviously baiting other posters on a subject you have a long history of being contrary on, much to the frustration of the other regulars in the Manchester United thread.

I will be upholding the yellow card as I see no reason to overturn it.

    Dispute closed.
