SMACKDOWN LIVE SUPERTHREAD

I thought the sound was fine on my end. I do agree that the announcers sound louder than usual though. Could hear the crowd pop for promos though loudly enough and sound dead at other times.

Smackdown at 3 hours is too much. It feels like it's all the same players used ad nauseam. Not in a way that feels interconnected or anything, more that it feels like it's the same people in the segments over and over. Maybe it's getting to Netflix earlier at the weekend too but RAW seems more lean and don't have to skip as much ad stuff.

A lot of the matches weren't too noteworthy tbh. I liked Jimmy/Carmello well enough though. The segment between Fatu and Strowman was cool and hope Fatue goes over at SNME to look a proper monster.

Kevin Owens/Rey was really good. Shocked they hadn't had a match tbh. I would not be against them having a full programme tbh. I was worried the Cody/KO thing having legs till Rumble would feel dragged out and it kinda does tbh.

Tiffany versus Bayley was great too. Nice to have matches of this calibre on weekly tv. Tiffany needed a big clean win after the cash-in and getting a win against Bayley felt like the one (even if Baylet is probably at her stalest right now). With the vignette for Charlotte shown I'm guessing that's gonna be the Mania match. Which would be an excellent match but I don't like Charlotte constantly being in the title picture and for the love of good don't give her the Rumble win.

Good to see Victoria there. Surely she's due a HoF entry. Though who goes in first, her or Mickie?

Dunno about anyone else but I am getting a bit fed up of Bayley. Though it does seem like she's the only main event face on the SD roster. But I guess Tiffy is more a face now as well. And Bianca is tied up with the tag titles.

For all the talk of transfers, I thought we could get new talent brought in to change things up but so far it's pretty much been mainly people who I couldn't remember which brand they were on anyway.

Aliyah didn't seem too bothered about her dad being beaten up in front of her. Maybe it could be down to confidence in her father coming back but a bit of concern could've been shown.

Smackdown still feels a bit long and stale but at least there's some shake-ups coming. Matches were alright (alright, alright)

Priest to Smackdown is a good call. Miz, I'm not sure about.

MCMG vs DIY 2 out of 3 Falls at the Rumble. Finally the tag belts get on a PLE, this match is needed and hope it's where the tag division pulls itself together. The Pretty Deadly match was solid.

Womens rumble is starting to assemble, although definitely felt a bit thrown together. Charlotte returning at the Rumble and announced makes me think there's some surprises coming.

LA Knight's promo was great. As was Fatu's, he is gonna make an amazing face someday. Actually excited for his match with Braun, hope Fatu wins.

Kevin Owens is probably the best thing going on Smackdown right now (him going after McConaughey was funny). It does really feel like everything on Smackdown is in a holding pattern till Rumble, so hopefully it bounces back after the PPV.

KO vs Punk would be gold

If KO feuds with Punk, how long will it be before KO wears a Colt Cabana (or maybe a Scotty Goldman) t-shirt.

Irritating to have Charlotte win the royal rumble. Really hope she doesn't take Tiffy's belt.

Elsewhere, I'm absolutely convinced Jade's attacker will turn out to be Naomi, turning her heel.

Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso in the men's qualifying match for Elimination Chamber is the main event for tonight

whats the point in solo even attacking Cody..we know how this plays out. Solo is irrelevant now

Melo even took out Cody on Raw before the rumble

Fatu is over too, could his first WM match be against Solo?
