    I have a Circle K app card. It used to entitle me into a monthly draw for various prizes, based on my points accumulation from filling up at their fuel stations.

    This has been stopped now but they started a new gimmick whereby depending on how often one fills up one can get up to 3c discount per litre. Circle K email me frequently on this , among other specials.

    2 weeks ago today they had a special for the one day of a 10c deduction per litre as long as one used the app. However what they don’t tell You is ( or at least I cannot find the notice anywhere ) that if You are paying with a fuel card it nullifies your qualification for a discount - IE no incentive to buy their pricey fuel.

    On another note altogether, their fuel station SB on the N7 diesel is 3c cheaper that their fuel station almost directly across the road NB.

    Needless to say, I stopped using Circle K, where I used to fill up twice a week.

    It was in the T&Cs that the offer wasn't valid on fuel cards. Also, when I was paying, someone in front of me used a fuel card and as soon as they swiped it (before entering their pin) the discount was removed on the screen over the till

    I saw in their publicity that using a fuel card cancelled the discount.

    Standard practice on fuel cards. They are almost always excluded from any sort of promotional activity as the fuel us purchased at a discounted pre agreed price already.

    I have a Circle K fuel card (originally through PTSB) that gives a consistent 4c per litre discount. The App gives a 1/2/3c discount depending on how much fuel you've previously bought, so there's no incentive to use the App except for these one-offs.

    ok I never saw the t&c’s regarding fuel cards. Thanks all for the heads up.

    It’s Certa for me now as Tesco points are added.

    Their rewards are pathetic now. Spend €300 in the last 3 months rolling to get 3c off per litre. Plenty of other reward schemes (AA etc) offer the 3c off at Circle K regardless of previous spend
