Condensation on Door Frame

    Hi all

I recently had a full fit out of new triple glazed windows and doors.

The French door at the back has a low profile aluminium threshold. This threshold is constantly full of condensation. Have to wipe it up maybe three times a day.

Supplier says its just one of those things you have to live with. I calledthe manufacturers who are selling me the same line.

Is there any way around this problem? Thank you

Honestly, it's annoying but there is not much you can do - it's most likely a sign that the internal relative humidity is too high so it's condensing on the coldest point. Those low-rise threshold need strength to support the door, so they need to be made from thicker Alu than normal, and end up being a cold bridge. Best monitor and manage the RH internally and that should deal with it. It should be around 50% on average if possible.
