My electricity is still coming back at 9pm last night apparently. Spent €16 on taxis and twenty something on pints going to the nearest place with power to charge my phone but I'm back home cold, hungry, smelly and typing by candlelight again.
I do appreciate the workers on the ground but whoever is operating Powercheck are pure liars and should have a lot to answer for. I met an 87 year old man who had been sitting by the fire since 2pm waiting to go home at nine when his heating was supposed to be back on. He put on his coat and had a hot port at quarter past ten to keep him going for the night when he got home.
