Didn't get a pay rise

Our company was bought over 6 months ago.

We have always had a pay rise every Jan, usually 2 to 3 %.

I had a review last week which went well.

Checked payslip today, no increase at all. Spoke to colleagues, the other 5 in my team all got 4% rise in this wage.

    Can I complain,?

I know you are not entitled to a rise but seems unfair

Ask, rather than complain, as a starter.

Also remember that you will almost always get more money by moving than staying…

    Maybe it's coming in February

Nice to have a job all the same

Generally - if you don’t ask you don’t get

New tax bands and credits might give the impression they got a rise.

You must be very fussy then.

The dole isn't supposed to be a handy number while you wait for your dream job to land in your lap.

Just ask your boss is the logical explanation. Might have forgetting to put it through for you.

Did the subject of an increase come up in your review? Have the new owners mentioned increases at all? Could your other colleagues have gotten an increase to start bringing them in to line with your wage? Perhaps your review didn't go as well as you though it did or perhaps the new owners have brought in different criteria for a wage increase to be implemented.

I know a lot of questions but if you didn't raise the subject of an increase in your review then you should have, it all starts from there.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people come straight here in scenarios like this instead of just speaking to their boss.
