Yeah it's a decent ploy by Charlotte to put more suspicion onto Freddie & Alexander, but if Leanne points out at the roundtable that she'd told Charlotte she got the shield, Freddie could realise he's being set up. Hardest thing about that though would be trying to explain that to the other Faithfuls without now outing himself as a Traitor.

Sad to see Minah go. She was a great Traitor and as she pointed out at the Roundtable pretty much all their reasoning for voting for her was based on "Well there's no real proof she's a Traitor so if she is a Traitor she's a good one, so I'll vote for her because there's no proof she's a Traitor". She didn't really put a foot wrong, becoming more victim to a shot-in-the-dark vote which ended up being right.

There's been a bit of talk about how there's no real advantage to voting off Traitors early because they just get replaced and it kind of breaks the show/game a bit. I saw a comment this morning from I think one of the contestants in the US version (as they mentioned Alan being the host), that there should be consequences for the Faithfuls getting it wrong, in that if you vote for a Faithful and they get banished, only the people who voted for that Faithful are ones the Traitors can consider for murder that night as punishment for getting it wrong.

It might cut out a bit of the usual bandwagoning or "I'm just trying something different by voting for you this time" that happens with votes, making it crucial that the Faithfuls have to have more of an incentive to get it right each time. Could be an interesting twist.

Thing is though on 'evidence', there isn't really any available to anyone it's all just supposition. Jake's theory on there being a male traitor isn't based on any evidence, the theory that Alexander is a traitor because one of the two that entered late is a traitor isn't based on any evidence… etc, etc.

I actually thought Minah handled the last few days very poorly since Charlotte came on board, even going into the roundtable she was sure that Charlotte had her back and the 'sisterhood' would make the final because… well nobody knows (Let's not forget Minah voted out both her fellow traitors before this - I think she simply got overconfident). Her reactions to coming under fire were very poor too, she essentially appealed to the emotions of the other players rather than trying to argue her case logically.

The one point that was in some way 'evidence' was where Frankie copped Minah trying to push the answer for most irrelevant back onto her implying extra knowledge that only Traitors would have.

Charlotte's plan is quite clever though I do wonder if reluctant traitor Freddie will actually pull the trigger on attempting to murder Leanne. If they go for it, and Freddie gets voted out I'd expect him to reveal himself as a convert, which could very well snooker Charlotte as it would be clear then there's a traitor in one of Jake, Frankie or her based on the final kill. Then again that might be too 'next level' thinking for most of the remaining Faithfuls. Will definitely be interesting to see how it unfolds, and also how this power affects the game.

Fair enough on that aspect but it still feels like the producers are manufacturing the final of this show to what they want the outcome to be - it’s not all in the hands of the group to determine who wins -

Not necessarily the outcome they want it to be but certainly the most 'drama' they can expect to achieve - precisely why this 'new, never before seen' power is on the penultimate episode too

The show is heavily influenced by the producers. That's known. I highly doubt they push for an outcome, they likely don't care. Their job is to produce and they manipulate what we see.

Name a reality tv show and it's true.

The sequence of how they show the vote only impacts on how we, the viewers, see the show - not on how the contestants experience the show.

I dont know what you mean that the contestants don't have control over who wins?

I wouldn't so much say the producers are manufacturing the final to what they want the outcome to be, but more just manufacturing the show to make sure they get 12 episodes. It's why earlier in the show a Faithful can choose to accept a recruitment or not, but if there's only one Traitor left with a few more episodes to go, the choice then becomes recruitment or murder to try and make sure the Faithful accepts.

The producers aren't going to care who wins, but yeah they need to make sure they get their full run of 12 episodes and at least one Traitor in the final. After that, it's up to the group. Even things like Charlotte knowingly pushing to murder Leanne last night but knowing Leanne has the shield will mean one extra person to breakfast tomorrow where the producers may not originally accounted for. Even the winning of the shield was random, and Leanne didn't need to tell anyone she had it. I'm still not sure why she did considering she was so close to Minah the entire game without knowing she was a Traitor, and then decides "I can definitely tell Jake, Frankie and Charlotte. None of those are Traitors."

There is definitely some element of manipulation and manufacturing by the producers, but also, can't account for stupid.

“…but also, can't account for stupid.”

    Maybe that’s what’s driving this.

Also, Alexander- since he arrived I can’t help but think he’s a producer favourite - it will be interesting to see if whatever happens this evening ensures he’s in the final -

Jake has been first to vote and Charlotte last for the last few episodes. They sit beside each other. As people have left they show the votes in sequence, clockwise starting with Jake.

I hate the idea of them not knowing what the voted out players are on the final vote. Alexander FTW!

While I certainly like the idea of Alexander in the final two and then let’s see how it plays out, given he’s a blow-in, there will be an itch to be scratched there and he might go sooner than we’d like.

As much as Leanne is so annoying her dumb blonde act has worked to date - I’m still debating if it’s an act or not though 😀

Well it's a good thing she wasn't pretending to be a skincare expert, because she's so thin-skinned that they'd literally see right through her.

Asking people to come at her and then getting pissed when Alexander dared question, that took the biscuit 😂

Yup.. she was absolutely fuming about being named as two-faced too, things you love to see😂

Nobody has gone after since as they can see she's not able to handle any form of criticism at all, it sort of worked as a strategy to get people to leave her be… she will absolutely melt down if challenged in the final which should be fun😁

The traitors this season absolutely stole the show regardless of what happens now. Alexander for me is possibly the dark horse though - Id love to see Charlotte vs Alexander final

Great episode last night. Charlotte is in pole position but she still has work to do. I don't think Freddie is going to be able to out Charlotte without outing himself if it ends up as Traitor v Traitor at the round table. Would hate to see Leanne winning the game. Really like Alexander and Charlotte. They've been the standout players for me, along with Minah.

Maybe the show's cliffhanger is yet another misdirect (I think the last two have been) and young Freddie doesn't go along with 'murdering' shielded Leanne.

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

How was the traitors able to recruit and murder on the same night, I thought it be only 1 or other?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,893 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

It's allowed when it's an ultimatum recruitment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,864 ✭✭✭FortuneChip

Cracking episode last night. One of the best challenges to-date. There was proper incentive for both faithful and traitors which isn't always the case. And Minah just stuck her neck out that little bit too far.

Really impressed with Charlotte's approach. Her subtly with the faithful was obviously good, but the real treat was how she protected herself a little by warning Minah about oncoming heat. Killing Leanne is a no-brainer too, guarantees she gets a pass.

Feel bad for Alexander, he's likely for the chop unless he can bury Freddie first, and all because of Jake's no-logic claim that there must be a mail traitor - I mean, I know he's right now, but still…

Yeah, the task was actually interesting for once.. I wish there were more like that - where the traitors are incentivised to stick their neck out a bit and put themselves in danger in the process. Far better than just straight up playing for money.

Shaking it up keeps it fresh alright - not sure id be a regular viewer of the next season 4 though - I’ll watch the oirish version when it arrives for the novelty factor- I appreciate it’s a hell of a piece of work to film and produce but it’s just feeling stale already - even Big Brother lasted a few more seasons before I tuned out

Did anybody here apply for the Irish version? I meant to, just for fun, but forgot about it. Would be curious to know what the application process is like and what's involved.

Freddie is not a good traitor....he looks so guilty....daggers at Charlotte lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,699 ✭✭✭✭Basq

The "Minah told me" comment was absolutely idiotic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,580 ✭✭✭archfi

He made a big mistake with his panicky 'Minah told me' lie

Honestly happy with anyone but Leanne winning, would love Alexander but I can't see it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,646 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Absolutely ridiculous panicked thing to say lol. He just looks so uncomfortable. But I will say Alexander is making himself look suspect too as much as I like him.

This task isn't tense at all, don't know what Claudia is yabbering about!
