I now realise that along with the exhausting schedule of a one hour show on Sunday there are also two forty minute tv shows during the week. The €250000 is hard earned.

Dilly O Wee was right when he said McEntee was one of the worst Ministers for Justice we have had . Thank God she has gone but we have had a litany of disastrous Minsters for Justice .None of them have had the bottle to tackle crime etc.

I'm not claiming anything. I'm stating a fact that she's a journalist, who has been working on current affairs for decades.

We don't really need "fresh ideas" though do we ? We just need someone with the political will to implement common sense solutions that you don't need a degree in criminology to understand, such as:

1. More prison spaces.
2. Reform of sentencing "guidelines" which see rapists, wannbe rapists and other violent thugs strolling out of court with suspended sentences.
3. More Gardai on the beat (easier said than done I know as it's not a job anyone can do and there's only so much you can do in terms of recruitment.) However if the first two above were implemented you might see less gardai leaving the force in despair.

I can't wait to see what he'll bring to the immigration issue also. When can we expect the mass deportations of chancers with no passports to start? Don't worry, I'm not holding my breath. At least that cretin O'Gorman is gone so we won't have any more multiple language tweets telling the destitute of the world to come to Ireland.
