Just wondering whats the opinion on a refurbed Pixel 7 on amazon.uk from amazon refurb store- anything to be aware of?

I'm coming from a Xiaomi 9T, which I made smithereens of yesterday!

Need a replacement with a budget of 450.

other options Redmi note Pro 13 or Pixel 8a?

    any other suggestions?

are there any Poco options for that budget?

    TIA

thanks very much for your reply.
Its also given me a new site for buying phones?
Is there a list here (besides the generally known places) somewhere for sites to purchase phones from?

    I see also a Pixel 7 256gb & 8gb ram for a similar price. the Xiaomi 14T has 256gb & 12Gb ram.

Any thoughts on which is better- performance & battery wise? I know the Pixel 7 is a bit older does it make a big difference?

My wife has 14t its an excellent phone, fast, great battery, camera is ok, Pixels are known for good cameras, if you are keeping a phone for a number of years go with the newer model for software updates and security updates.

    I've now spotted a Pixel 8 128gb & 8gb ram and the Xiaomi 14T 256gb & 12Gb ram for circa €450-€460

Flip flopping over which one to get.🤔

I wouldn't touch a Xiaomi phone. My Pixel 6 Pro screen went bang and I tried to get it fixed, but they wanted mad money. Picked up a Xiaomi red note 11 (i think) and it was useless. Whatever about the hardware stuff like camera quality etc, there was a load of soft/firmware stuff that was just horrible to deal with.

e.g. if you tried to use google wallet at all to pay for anything online, it would end up stuck in a loop.

"hi, please enter your payment details for this purchase…….."

When you went to check out it would give you the "please authorise this payment in your banking app….." message.

Switch to PTSB app and confirm authorisation, switch back and you're back to square one……

"hi, please enter your payment details for this purchase…….."

Nightmare of a phone. Avoid them at all costs now. The difference with Pixel phones is phenomenal. The only thing I'd keep is they give you a countdown when your phone's about to die. "Your phone will shut down in 30….29….28….." which was a great feature.
