Bringing Jota in a few weeks ago hasn’t worked as the differential I’d hoped.

Hard to know what to do now with their upcoming DGW. Feels like maybe 2 x LFC players is the way to go as I don’t want Gakpo taking up a strikers slot.

Hate not making a transfer but think might be time to save up some

I've done Enzo (Dropping price) to Kluivert, well cause why not…it has to be a good choice.

Its my Fist bench option currently anyway, but it could be important for a bench boost later

Is it time to get Chris Wood in? I don’t really want to but not doing Jackson to Wood weeks ago has cost me badly.

I brought him in four weeks ago but these are his next six, literally the top 5 teams and Spurs. I'm considering selling him

    You've had some two weeks.

Are you looking at any Everton? Tempted by Pickford & DCL for Raya and Pedro. Everton will play in BGW 29 so could hold to dead end at that point

When can we use Assistant Manager? Is Moyes worth a shot for the next few weeks, including the double game week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,376 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

I have 3 x Newcastle and currently 3 x Liverpool and also 3 x Crystal Palace so FH in 29 was a very easy decision for me if those semi final results go as expected.

I had Moyes in mind for the AM chip but I’m also willing to use FH’s for that chip. I don’t see myself going for any of their players, yet. If Spurs get a few players back they could also be good for the AM chip.

Foden could score in all those games you listed but, in the past, when I’ve been on it I’ve found that I’m selling players as other managers are buying them as I’ve had the hauls that are unlikely to keep coming. That said, maybe Pep see those fixtures as a run that could get him back into a title tilt.

I’ve a decent 1st and 2nd sub so I’m happy to keep Jota in the hope he plays against Ipswich but I should take my medicine and move him on.

your implying that those teams are tight at the back - last 4 games

    Chelsea have conceded 7 goals

    Arsenal 5 goals

    Newcastle 5 goals

    Liverpool 3 goals

    Spurs 9 goals

    Forrest 3 goals

pretty much there are goals in those games and if city are hitting peak form there is no reason to think that Foden and co can’t beat any of them. I reckon city be back in the title challenge after those games

having said all that I think Gordon v Southampton is a better transfer in next GW or double up with a pool player v Ipswich

yeah I agree, Foden hitting form now and City are in great attacking form now too.

Can you really trust Man City this season?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,376 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

No but they are more likely to turn it around than not.

The club are signing players and Pep will always try and win every game he’s involved in. Most likely only a matter of time before they are back to winning ways as he gets the players ready for Europe too.

Their blips will only last as long as the transfer window is shut.

I had Foden for 6 weeks and he didn’t score more than 3 points in any gameweek.

So I probably won’t go there again.

I had been thinking of banking or doing Watkins to Gakpo. Initially wanted 3 Liverpool for the DGW. But with Mateta in such good form I might do Watkins to Gakpo instead and possibly then next week go Timber to TAA

    Pedro to Gakpo or Mateta

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 999 ✭✭✭whatawaster81

Gabriel to TAA locked in. With Raya In goal double Arsenal defence hasn't been going well.

Already have Diaz who's been stinking up my team so will keep him for their next 4 matches before moving to Mbeumo as I have Wissa anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 335 ✭✭FreshG

why not do Raya to Pickford or Alison for the double game week and keep Gabriel who is a set piece threat?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 999 ✭✭✭whatawaster81

I think Trent is a bigger threat going forward. He's also a bonus point magnet. Also think Everton Will concede.

Liverpool have 4 good games . Don't think Arsenal set pieces are as good without Saka.

Faes to TAA in the biggest upgrade of a transfer ever, lol. I think Salah and TAA are probably enough for the DGW. Though I'm tempted on a punt with DCL in for J.Pedro, just for the fun of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,376 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

Came upon some stats today that would back up your interest in DCL.

Something along the lines of most shots in the box (joint with Haaland) since Moyes has come in. So that’s interesting.

The biggest attraction to him is that he’s only got months left on his contract. We all know the effort players put in when that is the case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 335 ✭✭FreshG

If I remember correctly, DCL did great under Ancelotti & Benitez playing directly through him. Good point on the contract.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 335 ✭✭FreshG

Yeah they are. I'm going to sell Diaz for Foden this week, no point hanging on to Diaz just for 3 or 4 points in a double game week. He's not playing well. Foden is

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,445 ✭✭✭✭shmeee

Enzo to be gone by deadline but not sure for who, maybe Semenyo. Have 7.4m.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,614 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I was going to bring in Foden but with Jackson absolutely stinking the place out, and dropping in price tonight, I'm going to have to sell him now.

Is Mateta the best replacement, with money no object really (bar Haaland) and as a non-Wood owner?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,976 ✭✭✭ForestFire

Solanke red flag until 15 feb!!

Still don't want to bring Wood ion so need to see what other options might be🤔

Think A bit more it kind of needs to be liverpool Everton? Nunez😟

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,029 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

if he wants to leave Everton will he go for 50/50 balls or try really hard? Last think he wants is to get injured (again)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 335 ✭✭FreshG

He'll get a contract at a PL side no problem. Free transfer so it's easy take the risk.

given throughout his career he has stayed very close to home, there may not be too many teams that he wants that will take him. Of the top 20 teams - how many would he actually get a deal with? I reckon less than half - and is he leaving Everton to go some where that he’s not a starter - unlikely.
