    Was at a wedding recently for a work colleague. I **** you not,2 lads turned up in jeans,sleeveless shirts, those **** motorbike racing jackets and baseball caps! Absolute yocals!

    Agree with the other poster, do not invite them. Problem solved. If you worry about what your guests are wearing, do not have them. They would probably prefer to be somewhere else or to be in a less formal setting anyway.

    Quite common, and completely acceptable, to specify a dress code on the wedding invitation.

    That way you don't risk embarrassment or hurt feelings by singling out these two to speak to. Plus, you avoid the risk that someone else, who you don't speak to, turns up in jeans, leaving these two very pissed off indeed.

    They really stick out when everyone else is dressed up. Options- dont invite, invite but demand a certain dress code, invite to the afters only, or invite and let them wear what they like. If you do chose to invite them, remember even if requested, they may turn up in jeans in any event, how would you feel then? how much would that impact your big day? you know the answers now, do whats good for you.
