Yes some Channel 4 and ITV channels are still doing musical chairs. I was waiting until they had finished before submitting a new update but Channel 4 seem to want to drag it out as long as possible.

All finalising "at the end of November", according to this written 16 October.

    I have lost ITV +1, +2 and +3 . I rescanned on 10891 2200 5l6 H and got nothing.

I did a bit of research and lyngsat listed an alternative as a DVB-S 11343 27500 V 2/3. That did not work.

    I tried DVB-S2 11343 27500 V 9/10 and got them.

That's TV, PBS, True Crime, Legend and others also on this frequency now.

    Might be useful to others

Yes, the ITV +1 services have moved to a different transponder and are not with the ITV transponders any more. Some broadcasters are making it easier by having all their channels grouped together, and now ITV are spreading theirs out. You can't win!

They have always been like that. They need to be on multiple transponders for all the variations. Just like the BBC.

It's not hard to find them on Lyngsat, if you need to see where they are for your list. Ctrl and F together on a PC keyboard, and type ITV into the Search box. Also UTV and STV. Sorry if that is something obvious for you.

Not so sure about that point about being on different transponders like BBC. ITV 4+1 is no longer on DVB S 10891 22000, and is on DVB S2 11343 27500 with all the other +1's. It was not on this Freq last night, but was on 10891. All ITV+1 are now on 11343. Nothing on 10891 for me.

Even your link to Lyngsat is wrong now. And last night it was wrong too for ITV +1,+2 and +3.

What is obvious is that changes are happening all the time

10891 is reported as losing most of the channels on 04/05/06 November. Like you say it is out of date for the 7th, being empty now. Lyngsat and the other sites depend on contributors to keep them up to date. Rick's tuning guide will equally go out of date. But in general the advice to consult Lyngsat and similar sources stands for him to keep it up to date.

There are about 36 different ITV's including STV and UTV. They couldn't all be on one transponder.

KingOfSat is up to date for 10891 on the 7th. Probably the other transponders as well, but I did not check.

10891 is now up to date on Lyngsat, empty transponder.

    Recently removed: 241107: STV East. 241107: STV North. 241107: ITV 4 +1.

What is Channel 4 going to do with 10714 H 20000 QPSK -5/6 it's still SD.

I suppose it will be empty like 10891.

Channel 4: next stage of DVB-S2 migration

06/11/2024 – E4 Extra, 4seven and the last remaining Channel 4+1 regions are migrating to DVB-S2 pm 10936V, with a short dual illumination before 10714 H is cleared.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 23,396 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

The dual illumination on 10714 H and 10936 V has happpened. But anyone depending on 10714 H will lose their channels soon. Also 11127 V is now empty, but the carrier signal has not been switched off yet.

"25 Nov. An update was issued to Freesat boxes on Monday morning. Sky boxes will be updated later. The last remaining Channel 4 SD feed on 11127V will be pulled from Sky satellite on Thursday (28th)."

I will be making an updated thread for Dec 2024 in the coming week to cover changes made over the past few weeks. I think the majority, if not all of the DVB-S2 musical chairs has finished.

Scanning again so I can check if its scanned at all…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 18,350 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Only scan on that frequency is 10936000 Linear V 2200

    Have you set it to

    DVB-S2/8PSK

    The S2 is important.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 18,350 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Yeah - tried a different software (currently using MediaPortal, had same issue with NextPVR) and finding them no problem but can't use it (needs to be compatible with Kodi)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 18,350 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Sorted - switched to MP2 and all found now - thanks all!

Is the channel U&Gold ,formerly UK Gold no longer FTA?

All the other U & channels seem to be FTA but can't find Gold.
