Another Vodafone TV Play question

We just got a new (well last year’s model) Samsung 4k tv which only supports hdmi 2.0. The Vodafone Play box can output at 2.1. Will that make much of a difference to our viewing experience, i.e. will we miss out on much? I haven’t opened the tv box yet so I could exchange it for a 2.1 capable tv. However I would rather keep this one if it won’t make much difference as it has some other features I like.

It will make practically zero difference, and certainly none that your naked eye will be able to tell.

Great thanks. I just checked and the hdmi cable that was packaged with the Vodafone Play box is only high speed, not ultra high speed. The latter is needed for the extra features of hdmi 2.1 from what I have read. So Vodafone obviously agree with you and haven’t equipped the unit with a 2.1 cable.
