How to block ads on youtube

Hi folks in TV land. Perhaps I'm in the wrong forum but here goes anyhow - Is there a simple way to block ads on you tube videos ? They are driving me demented😒

Get a VPN, connect to Albania where they dont allow ads, and hey presto, you will have no ads.

Simplest way if you are not very technical minded is to try to sign up in Poland for YouTube Premium. Do you have Revolut as it makes paying for monthly subscription easy.

Once signed up you don't need to use VPN again.

Or use Duckduckgo as your browser. The duckduckgo player strips out the ads.

This, I love how some people want something completely free and expect everyone else to pay for their usage with subscriptions / ad revenue. It's a business, if you're not gonna pay for it someone else has to.

I have the Adblock extension added to Chrome for the PC, and the Adblock browser app on my phone. Both are free, completely legal and work perfectly at keeping those pesky ads at bay.

The ads have become obnoxious. Like cable TV and it drove people away. They are squeezing every drop of profit out of it.

They promote meaningless click bait and hound quality content creators. Fast food media.

Agree 100% I have no issues with a few ads. after all someone has to pay the piper so to speak. But 20 ads in a 20 minute you tube video is taking the urine, compounded by the fact that's it's the same 2 or 3 ads being repeated ad nauseam. It has come to the stage now that I have stopped watching you tube but hopefully with the help of the good folk on here I'll manage to block all ads completely. Excessive greed may eventually kill the ad goose that lays the golden egg.
