How much phone time?

    My child’s in 2nd year. We were convinced to allow Snapchat when nobody else in secondary school didn’t have it. Then we were convinced to increase the time from 30 mins to 2hrs a day. But I think it was a mistake. Much too much time is spent in bed on the phone and the moods that follow the screen time running out are foul. I feel like I got manipulated into changing the rules (my child is an excellent negotiator 🤦🏻‍♀️) and I really regret it but it’s hard to go back now.

    How much time do you give kids this age in their phones? Do you limit apps? To hear my kids talk, everybody has Snapchat and Tiktok from primary school. Is this true?!?! Other parents I talk to say they limit screens

    Ive family link on my son's phone. I allow certain apps unlimited. Discord and chat apps 1 hour. Phone powers off at 9 and on at 8. He doesn't have Snapchat and I have to allow apps install so know what's going on. He has WhatsApp.

    They get an hour on the tablet playing games eldest is in 2nd year . Youngest in primary doesn't have a phone.
